I was super-excited when I received my YSS March-kit that Erica picked for me.
It contained a lot of goodies from Echo Park and Pink Paislee.
When I looked at the papers from Echo Park it was love at first sight. The colours are very lovely and the patterns very happy. The collection is called For The Record
I started to work with it immediately, and this is the first layout I made.
Lately I see bakers twine used on many layouts. I think it adds a fun tuch of flimsy to a page. Here I made a cluster with twine, buttons and hand made flowers. The flowers are so easy to make. Soon there will be a tutorial on the Your Scrapbook Stash blog on how to make them. I may even post it here.
I used an edge-punch on a piece of green cardstock. I then randomly pleated the strip without really knowing how it would turn out or what I would do with it.
That's the kind of scrapper I am;...a disorganized one....
I then decided to staple it underneath my photo as a border and I rather like the look of it.
I wanted to use black letter stickers on this page and decided to try and use up an old sheet of Thickers that I had for a long time. The trouble was that the r and l were missing. That's why the title looks a little homemade, I had to make those letters of the ones left.
The cool square white stickers are from the sheet by Echo Park. You get lots of different ones on that same sheet , and even some useful word-stickers.

I distressed the papers, painted, and used the sewing machine to achieve the finished look on this layout.
No wonder I am such a slow scrapper... Still I like to enjoy the process and try different things on my layouts before commiting to a final look.
Thanks for visiting.
And thanks for any comments you decide to leave. Much appreciated!
Take care!
