"Webster's pages" layout in pink and green

Good Morning all!

Today I have a page thaty is quite different from my usual style. I think I have said before that I LOVE the look of Webster's Pages papers but have a hard time doing them justice. I do, however need to downsize my rather extensive amount of stash of their products that I am hoarding... It is all too beautiful!

I made this layout because I had read about a challenge over at BerryBlue to use pink and green. I pulled out my Webster's as there is a lot of pink and green there and made a layout only to find that the call was for mint green and not the tone I had used, plus I really needed to add three handmade flowers. LOL, that's just so typical....

Still ,at least I get to share my page with you my sweet friends, and I also had a lot of fun making it!!

The photo is of me and my little nephew Silas ,who lives over in Denmark, and we don't get to see him very often. We went over in the Spring for the confirmation of his older brother and that was when Alexandra snapped this shot of the two of us.

I layered the photo mats with popdots between them to create dimension.
In between the layers I added elements from fussy cutting, lace, flowers, tulle etc... I also rolled the edges which I have loved since I attended Ingvild Bolmes class and she 'made us' do that.

To maximize the softness of this page about a baby boy I added a layer of lacey material underneath my title as well. The green Prima flower in the corner was originally white but I painted it with my paint dabber and a paintbrush.

I think the roses on the Webster's Pages papers are the best. Iove the soft pretty colours, and I think I actually have two or three more of this sheet of paper,...lol!

I am sorry I have not been able to post my latest layout from CCG yet as the challenge I made it for unfortunately still has not gone live.
I know a lot of you are (im)patiently waiting for it but it is out of my control unfortunately and I have nothing more to tell you as I don't know.
I know some of our members are planning to scrap the older combo CCG 40 this weekand maybe you would like to join in too?

I hope you have a lovely day, it is a rather blustery one here.....
Take care!

  5. I love what you have done with your WP! It happened to me too- my WP papers were on the shelf for so long b/c I was afraid to cut them. I'm sad about CCG, but it did allow me to find wonderful scrap friends and mentors!
