For Inkido: 'Sweet Smile' using Harmony Flowers and 'Happy Christmas'

Hi! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and are feeling well rested.

Today is my last post for this year, but I am happy to say that I'll be keeping in touch since I am part of the new DT starting in a few days for 2014.

Here is the page I wanted to show you today:

I made it mostly using the latest collection from Inkido called 'Happy Christmas' and also the lovely pink Harmony Flowers.

I have some closeups to share with you as well:

I used several of the pink Harmony Flowers, but those packages are so full that there are still some left :-)

Welcome to the Winter Frolic 12 Days Of Christmas Blog Hop! Day 10

" Welcome to the Winter Frolic 12 Days Of Christmas Blog Hop!
You should have arrived here from the PaperHaus blog.

We are celebrating the release of the Winter Issue of PaperHaus Magazine but also inspiring you each day with wonderful holiday projects, giveaways and inspiration! Our blog hop will run from December 1st to December 12th! Be sure to stop each day and leave a comment each day to win some fabulous prizes by our lovely sponsors! Don't forget to check out the Winter Issue for additional inspiration, holiday cheer and some amazing projects from our contributing team!"

Many of you have probably already checked out the fab magazine.
But just in case; HERE is a link to it.
I only had time to prepare two pages for the magazine this time and you'll find my contributions
on pages 40 and 62. One is a shabby page using Papirdesign products and the other one more clean using products from another favourite; Les Papiers de Pandore. I hope you like them both. I am not supposed to share them on my blog for a month so you'll se more of them here at the beginning of the new year.

Here is my contribution for the hop:

This is a page I made for Inkido as part of their DT and I used the delightful collection 'Happy Christmas'

I used an older photo of my youngest and her BFF.
(These are both very sensible girls but will occationally get up to some mischief :-) )

The title was made using red glitter Thickers and some older stickers from Pink Paislee (Old School).
The flowers are from Inkido. I used both Harmony flowers and Fashion Flowers (red).

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut most of these shapes and borders. For an accent I added some
red Viva pearl maker to the vine underneath the picture.

Finally a shot to show some of the dimension I was trying to add to my page.
I love using black and white photographs on my pages as they are so neutral and permit adding a lot of bits and pieces that us scrapbookers love!

Here is a full list of todays stops:

DAY 10
So your next stop will be my delightful dear friend Eila and I am sure she has prepared a treat for you!!

Hugs!!

Inkido December challenge.

I hope you are enjoying lovely crisp early Winter weather where you are.
Here a storm just passed for now and it is mainly raining and very grey and drab. Perfect for staying  inside scrapping or making seasonal cards.

Today I want to tell you about the latest Inkido challenge which I am hosting this month.
This time I want to see a project incorporating stars and/or snowflakes. I am sure we all have many of those planned for this time of year, so why not share them with us here at Inkido.
Please remember we do not like 'backlinking' though :-) All the entries have to be new and made especially for this challenge.

Here is my page:

(Sorry my photos are not up to my normal standard. I still have no internet connection at home so I had to use my IPhone...)

For this challenge you can use all kinds of stars and/or snowflakes. Inkido has some great stamps with stars that would look awesome on a page or a Christmascard! If you cannot get hold of that one you can use chipboard or diecuts like I did and I also used a petterned paper with tiny stars on it. Mine is from the latest collection by Inkido called 'Happy Christmas'. In the collection there are even some awesome papers with snowflakes on them!!

 A few more closeups:

Finally here's a sideways photograph of how I built up my page in layers.

Challenge Rules
1. You must submit your project / layout /  using the Link tool on the sidebar.
2. You may submit more than one project and you are allowed to combine this challenge with two other challenges.
3. You are required to mention in your blog post that you are playing along at Inkido. We also want you to link back to our challenge.

And here is the LINK to the challenge!

Getting in the advent spirit with this page.

Hi,it's me Bente here to share one of my latest pages for Inkido.

I hope to find you relaxed and well and enjoying your weekend.
Unfortunately this will be a rather short and sweet post as my regular Internet is down and I find myself writing my post on my mobile phone for the first time....

Ok, here is my layout, and I am
sorry I have not been able to edit my photos much.....

I used the lovely 'Happy Christmas' for this and added quite a few inkido flowers to embellish.

Here are a couple of close ups too:

I took a few pictures of my creative process but those are on my DSLR and I cannot get them transferred just now,but maybe I can add them as soon as I get my connection back. :-)
I very much enjoyed stencilling with the gold medium and also making the stars with gesso.

The burgundy geraniums match this collection beautifully.

I used the olive package of Harmony flowers. I just love that dark green glittered bloom. Soo lush!

I made the sweet green vine wreath by cutting the pretty green music paper of the Happy Christmas collection with my Silhouette Cameo. The Santa tag was also cut from one of the patterned papers.

Again, sorry for the 'crappy' photos!
Hope to see you soon again!!

My first page using the new Inkido collection 'Happy Christmas'.

'Liten tomte tittar ut' is the title of this new page and it is about Beatrice wearing her long Santa-hat that we had been looking to buy in so many places before we found it.

I used the latest beautiful collection from Inkido called ''Happy Christmas'' for this page.

The small chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs, and the large one is from Dusty Attic.
I made my title using the Silhouette Cameo. It has become such a fun tool to play wth!

I wanted to use the pretty tags on my page and ended up attatching them as an embellishment
with a large bow.

I just wanted to get this post up before leaving for work this morning.
I feel there is no need for a lot of words as there are so many pictures, and we all know that a picture says more than a 1000 words :-) LOL!

Have a good day everyone!!
