Peonies peonies peonies,... I love them!!

Hi again. I cannot believe it'll be two weeks since I last posted...

Time really flies and I have been kept busy! I spent a short week over in the UK helping my DD move home from university for the summer. She got a place at a well renowned American university, Cornell for next year so she had to move everything out of her room.
It was hard but; Yes,..We made it!  One of the reasons it was hard extra was because I became ill.
I came down with a severe cold and could not swallow anything at all, not to mention talk,....I felt really sick, but hopefully I shall slowly be getting back to my usual self.

I have made a couple of pages but nothing that I can share today.
I would like however, to share a few photos of my peonies that have me completely smitten.
Every June in my garden is the same. They look magnificent!! Just look at this beauty!!

Unfortunately they don't last long,...maybe two weeks at the best :-)

Hope you enjoy your week end!!
Hugs!!

  1. Bente, these are stunning peonies! I just planted one last year and it has one bud that should be blooming this week. They are one of my favorite flowers too.

  2. Gorgeous photos, Bente (and your daughter too)! Peonies are my favorite flower. Mine bloomed weeks ago so I pruned them back just a few days ago. I hope you're feeling better soon!

  5. So sorry your trip to the UK was marred by your illness Bente. I bet it is wonderful having your daughter home for a while and next year the USA! My she will be well travelled. Your peonies are gorgeous like they are in my daughters garden but I think your daughter is far more beautiful than the flowers. She is growing into a little beauty. Hope you are feeling better now. Take care and hugs from the UK.
