'At the Lighthouse' for Papirdesign.

Hi there friends!
Today I want to share a new page with a couple of the latest collections from Norwegian manufacturer Papirdesign.
Thiose of you who are followers of Papirdesign on Facebook will have seen some pictures of the latest collection from the fair and I can tell you they are just as pretty in real life :-)

The lovely blue tones look pretty with this picture taken by my lovely sister on a recent holiday here. I picked the orange from my t-shirt in the picture and must say that to me it's a winning combination! :-)

For this page I found that the set with summerbuttons is perfect and of course even here the colour is a great match!

To add to the seaside feeling of my page I glued down a couple of punched pappers strips. I think they look a little like waves,...don't you? Extra added details are the diecut Frameworks Trellies and the leaves from a Framelits set from Sizzix.

Thanks for looking in! Hope I'll see you here again soon!

I have used

A couple of pages for Scraps of Elegance using the August kit.

Hi, today I have a cpouple of pages to share made with the 'Raindrops on Roses' kit from
Scraps of Elegance. These are both using the same collection but the look is totally different.

My first page is in a classic pink/black/white combination.

Here are several close ups.
I know I love to look at close ups when I visit blogs so I'll assume you are the same :-)

The larger flowers are Prima and all from Scraps of Elegance kits, and even the grey and black
mini roses. The black chalkboard frames are by Melissa Frances.

I made the doilies with my Cheery Lynn dies. The title is made with a sticker from the sticker sheet. I just cut it into three pieces because that would look  better on my page.

I used one of my new Sizzix dies to make the leaves. I like the 'strict' look of them.

And now for my second page for this post:

This is a much 'softer' page and the colours are very different as well. I used the lovely script-paper from the Authentique Paper collection called 'Pretty'.

The beautiful 'Dahlias' by Petaloo come in three shades of pink, and there is a packet of smaller ones too that look so adorable.

I have used a combination of die cut butterflies using awesome Sizzix dies, and some from the collection pack by Heidi Swapp that came with my kit. They are from the collection 'Dreamy'

The title I have used is also from the Heidi Swapp ephemera pack, as well as the little sparks and the patterned butterflies. The little sentiments are from the Authentique Paper sticker sheet.

I used gesso and three different stencils for this ayout and even some distress ink through a
stencil as well.

The swirl was made with a Sizzix die.

That was all for today! I hope you were not too overwhelmed by the many pictures :-)
Thanks for any comments you leave me. I always love to read your feed back!

Hugs!!

Putting my new dies to good use!! Sizzix Sunday!

Hi there all you scrappy friends.
A few days ago I received a big box of lovely shiny Sizzix dies in all sizes from the awesome Bigz dies down to the tinyest little framelits die with its matching stamps.
Truly happiness in a (very large...) box! :-)

I took out all the new dies and looked at each and every one of them for a looong time.
After that part of the ritual was over I opened up a few and started cutting.
I picked all different kinds and did some 'trial cuts' and 'trial stamping' too.
Today on the Sizzix blog I have shared three cards made with different bits from these initial trials. They look cute and go to show that things don't always have to be so very complicated.
You will love that quote that you only see part of here. So true!

My first post for Polish company Lemoncraft

Today I am happy to share the two very first pages I made with the delightful products from the Polish manufacturer Lemoncraft. I made two pages for this inaugural post and they are pretty different in style and execution. Mostly I used the latest collection 'Forget Me Not'.

I created a shabby page with a picture of our family cat. She is such a cutie!

I cut strips of paper and stitched them to the patterned paper. Then I painted them with mist and gesso  as well as distressed them.

On my background I used gesso and a stencil as well as mist and paint. For extra decoration I added liquid pearls.

And now for my second page which is more romantic and 'elegant' compared to the previous one.

The detailed Lemoncraft papers are excellent for fussy cutting. That is one of the things I like so much about them,...apart from being beautiful of course... I took advantage of the patterns of the different papers to create this page. The different designs really go so well together.
Some close ups of this page:

I layered elements from different papers in the 'Forget Me Not' collection and used pop dots between some layers. I used one of the new Sizzix dies to make some flowers and butterfies as well.

I cut out one of the labels from the A4 sheet with matching designs.
Then I emellished it with some liquid pearl and used it as my title spot.

One of my buttons had a pretty butterfly on it so I thought it would look good with all the other butterflies.

Scraps of Elegance are guesting at Scrap Around the World.

Hi! Today I am happy to share that my fave kit club Scraps of Elegance is guesting at  the awesome
Scrap Around the World .
We are a permanent sponsor for 2014 and this is the month that we get to show our stuff :-)
The members of the design team have prepared a page each with inspiration from the lovely mood
board prepared by Marilyn Rivera. We have all used material from SOE kits.

I used the July kit , Chasing Rabbits, to make this page and the papers are by
Marion Smith Designs and Kaisercraft.

August 2014 Challenge 16 - An Elegant & Textural Mood Board by Marilyn Rivera.

And HERE is a link to the challenge.

I even prepared a few 'closies' for you:

The little cutie is my nephew and I took this shot of him last Summer when he was just a few months.

One of the things I love about SOE is that I get to use an abundance of beautiful flowers and other great embellishments that come with the kit and the various add ons.

The teal and the pink flowers are by Petaloo and the orange and black ones are made by Prima Markting. And that cute tiny resin frame just makes me smile.

The red cherry blossoms are also from the kit/add on but the large pink bloom was hand made from cardstock using the Sizzix Bigz die Tattered Florals.

I hope you enjoyed my page and also the pages of my talented DT sisters.

Don't forget to check out the challenge at SATW!

Hugs!

And now to my page and all the close ups:

I wanted to whip out my gesso, mists, stencils etc so I used the very pink B-side of one of the patterned papers. I added gesso, stencilled and coulured to my hearts content with mists and paint.
The flat white diecut flowers with an acetate center are Sizzix 'Tattered Florals' totally unaltered.

I used a Prima Script stamp frm my stash for the background. I added some of the Heidi Swapp die cuts for decorations on top of my layered patterned papers.

I really love the pink toned  Darjeeling flowers from Petaloo, in two different sizes (main kit and floral add on). I find them so rich in quality!

As you can see I did QUITE a lot of work on my background. It is so much FUN!!
The cool stencil is one by Finnabair that was give to me by my sweet friend Eila.

It was some tima since I added half pearls and chrystals strewn on my page so I wanted to do that again.

Here is a better shot of the layered elements.

Gorgeous gorgeous flowers!!

I made the title with the letters from the large sticker sheet in the embellishment add on. I really like that cool font a lot!
Thanks for coming by today!
