A birthday layout using Papiers de Pandore, and Two Peas Top Three!!

It has been quite some time since I shared a layout using the beautiful French made papers from Les Papiers de Pandore.
When it was time to scrap this precious photo of DD Alexandra celebrating her 18th birthday I immediately thought of the lovely soft hues of Maison de Campagne. I wanted to make a feminine layout that was not too laden with embellishments or layers, to highlight the photo of Alex with her grandmother.

I used different patterned papers from the collection and also a couple of the very useful stamps that are available.

I did not want to cover up too much of the rose on the patterned paper. i decided to cut around it and 'lift it' over the photo. That way it would add to the dimension of the layout and it would still be visible.

I used a piece of green ribbon that I looped to give the impression of leaves.

I raised my stamped title with pop dots to make it stand out against the background. I even added a Zva Creative bling swirl that I cut into smaller  pieces. Sometimes the big swirls can be too overpowering.

A few days ago I was lucky enough to have a page spotlighted among the top three at Two Peas. It was one of my pages I did for Color Combos galore some time back. maybe you remember it?

That's all for today .
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine!

  2. Wonderful work here Bente! This page is a stunner for sure!! So much lovely detail & that paper is just to die for :) No probs about not replying to my e mail...I have 1 600 emails in my inbox right now - no jokes - so I know how it all gets too overwhelming at times & I just can't get to it myself at times too or I'd never be able to scrap or blog! So sorry that you haven't been feeling well...I hope you are okay & I am very jealous at the thought of you spending 3 weeks in the South of France - gosh that sounds like a dream destination. Sure you need it at this stage to keep your sanity! Have a wonderful time away - all great artists need a time of reflection away from their creations & you will come back stronger than ever :)

  8. Vad gulligt med Alex och farmor, jättefin layout!! gillar hur du placerade gardenian ovanpå den utklippta rosen och loopade det gröna bandet under den andra gardenian. Really beautiful page Bente, love the soft hues and the sweet photo of the girls. Congrats on the 2Peas Top Three!! Hoppas innerligen du mår bättre. Kram
