Hello all, are you ready for some champagne and a clean slate,...?
Not long now until we sing Auld Land Syne and toast our near and dear ones.
We are three families who have been enjoying eachothers company on New Years Eve for many years now. Most of our children are old enough to want to celebrate with their own group of friends and only the youngest ones remain with us the entire evening.
We alternate preparing a beautiful meal with everything and then we talk and laugh until midnight when we all go outside to look at the special fireworks that are normally fantastic. And we also spend some time talking to our neighbours as they are also out and about.
But before that I have one last layout to share. It is another one that I made some weeks back, actually for a combo at CCG that was not revealed.
The shape is round even though the iron bench underneath almost looks like part of the lo.
I used some bits and bob I had on my scrap table at the time. The flowered paper is from Prima and the gingham is October Afternoon.
The red branch with leaves on is part of a larger one by Prima.
This piece was left over from an earlier layout.
The gingham ribbon was in my stash and also the textile chipboard letters from Prima Marketing.
To make the the frilly edge of the outline I used my favourite Martha Stewart lace border punch to punch several strips that I then pleated at random. Of course the pleats will look a lot neater if you use a ruler to measure exactly, but I don't do that!
I used a pearlmaker to get the tiny pears along the green edge. The tiny letter stickers here are by Glitz
The title refers to the fact that Beatrice is always such a good girl. we are curious to see what happens in a couple of years. Will she still have her sweet disposition?
Ok friends, Thanks to all who made it this far and I will wish you
a HAPPY NEW YEAR
and much love
in case I don't post again this side of New Years Eve.
