One is Seriously Scrapbooking with Imaginarium Design who so very generously is sponsoring OUAS all year long.
Jane from Imaginarium Design has sent beautiful lazer cut chipboard to the girls in the design team and we are so happy !
The other one is Your Scrapbook Stash where, you may remember, I am a part of the DT.
So this time I participate in the challenge not as a DT member for the sketch blog but as one of the
Stash Girls.
This is what Nadia has made for us this time.
Really something to get your teeth into,...I found it quite hard to do...but that's why it's called a challenge
I guess...lol!
I hope to see many of you taking part in the challenges this month!
Go HERE to read WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!!
And even to check out this months fabulous guest designer Sarah Mullanix.
Winning the prizes at OUAS is not your only chance of a prize this month! If you post a link to your finished layout to THIS POST about the challenge on the YSS blog you have a good chance of winning some Stash Cash as well. Isn't that great? So many chances to win this month!!
This is how my layout turned out in the end.
I used a chipboard as a mask for the little scroll behind the flowers. I misted around it and on the other side of the strips I used a red paint dabber . I discovered afterwards that my red colour ended up in the shape of a heart!...But then again; I really heart these girls!
The patterned paper I used for this came in my April DT kit from Erica at YSS. They are from "Fancy Pants" and called "It's The Little Things". The collection is very pretty and I seem to be seeing a lot of it in the scrapping world right now. For the strips that are very prominent in the sketch, I used one punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and one pleated one from the elements sheet. The third one has the text Love Live Laugh on it. The black dotted base was partly covered up with some older book pages that I painted with some gesso.
The journaling is about my girls and how they relate to eachother. I used one of the journaling cards from the cut-out sheet in my kit.
What is a layout without a banner I say....? And the small letter stickers are from October Afternoon and the chip letters are by Pink Paislee.
The pretty blooms in colour aqua are made by Prima Marketing. I love that colour!!
And then some more close ups,...I hope you enjoy!
Remember that there is a journaling requirement for these challenges.
Always remember to read what is stated for the current challenge!
Thanks for dropping by.
