The recent days I have had more traffic to my blog than ever but I am sad to say that I have hardly received any of the little messages that I have come to look for with excitement!! :-D Some of you have tried three or four times, and I really appreciate that and thank you for your persistence!!
Blogger will not let me post from Picasa either I get ERROR.
Oh well, enough ranting,... I hope this will work now! Last time there was this widespread trouble I downloaded Google Chrome and today I decided I will use that instead to see if that will improve anything.. Fingers crossed!
I have been doing a few pages lately with the still rather new Basic Grey called hello Luscious. It was part of the kit that Erica W from Your Scrapbook Stash sent me.
Photos were taken last year in Pheaony season, which is right now too. The whole garden is full of the most delicious scent of roses. I love to bring the flowers inside too in huge bouquets!
I photographed my page outside in the garden with one of my real life pretties as a prop. Gorgeous plants, aren't they!!
I would love to show you some pictures of the rows and rows of paeonies we have, but as I have been scrapping and not gardening I don't really think my poor neglected garden is quite ready for the world wide web...LOL! Honestly I don't know if it will ever be... :-D
Between the borders of pretty Basic Grey papers I stuck half doilies as mats for my sweet gardenias.
The awsome chipboards you see are from Imaginarium Designs and quite possibly the best lazer cut chipboards EVER!! We are so lucky in the Once Upon A...Scrap design team to be sponsored by Jane T with the beautiful chipboard for the whole year!! Isn't that awesome ...
I love the cute little wooden buttons with twine in them. Even the corrugated alphabet is really cool and they were part of my kit from Your Scrapbook Stash.
I painted the corrugated letters from Jillibean Soup and backed them with some green cardstock.
I placed the title on top of some fussy cut flowers from one of the pp's. I raised the whole thing with pop dots.
This way my title has many layers and becomes a design element in it's own right.
The tiny letter stickers are Basic Grey too.
Thanks for having the patience with me all the way to the end!!
I wish you all a wonderful relaxing week end!!
Very beautiful work, beautiful decoration at the top, a beautiful photograph and beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeletecherubs :)
ohhh bente...i like it a lot. the colors are very soft and lovely. The chipboard does compliment the layout. i have yet to get hold of some but i will soon.
ReplyDeleteLovely Papers, colours, flowers, and girl. Such a goodwill Idea with the title!
ReplyDeleteGood Idea, it was;)
ReplyDeleteOh wow Bente...this layout is absolutely stunning!!! I love the way you have tucked doilies between your paper layers, I love your corrugated letters and the way you have matted them with the leaves coming out from either side...your photos are simply amazing...and I think it's wonderful that you photographed your layout in the garden with props...how clever and so beautiful. I love all of your beautiful layers of paper (gorgeous product line too) and I love your use of paint (as always its fab :)).
ReplyDeleteAfter reading this post, I suddenly realized what inspired me to try tucking and embellie between layers of paper, and it is YOU! I have quickly updated my blog post to read as follows "The idea of the chipboard piece sticking out between my layers of paper was inspired by the incredibly talented Bente, and you can check out her blog here. If there is a scrapper that creates the most lovely dimensional layers, it's Bente. :)" Off to CCG to edit my post there too.
Have a superb week ahead...hugs.
yes your blog is a bit on the blink I'm afraid Bente - yesterday I couldn't get into this post but now it is fine today. I love all the little bits you tuck in here & there as surprises for us to find. To me your style is just wonderful & inimitable, there may be a Scandinavian style about but your pages are all your very own my friend. Wow those peonies are sooo beautiful!!! Have a lovely week :)

Ja jisses vad era pioner är underbara, vet ju hur ljuvt en enda blomma kan dofta! håller tummarna för att det inte kommer något slagregn så ni får behålla dem länge än. Love your photo settings, the rusted garden chair and the weather beaten boards. The backdrops are perfect for this wonderful page of yours. Still checking out all the details, love the gardenias and the doilies, absolutely marvellous title work too. xxx
