Color Combos 195 -You Make Me Smile

We are now at the very beginning of June..., so what can be more fitting for a theme at CCG this month than...SUMMER !
And the extra challenge this week is to use balloons on your layouts. I am still in love with balloons as a design element. I wonder if they will be like banners and other must havs, that they will just stay and stay... I hope so, because they look so cute!

This is my take on the combo and designers challenge this week!

I just love the inspirational photo this week. It really screams Summer and wonderful vacations to me.

Originally I had a big blue flower in the middle of my layout. You can see it in the photo on the CCG reveal page.
I decided to remove it to  open up the design, and give the photos some more space. I really wanted to use that flower but I do think this is better.

The cute little bird stamp is from Les Papier de Pandore stamped on a Prima packaging.
The balloons I cut from a Webster's Pages sheet.

The super pretty hand made doilies are from Leeann Pearce (Thank you, you awsome lady), and I just love them.
You can see Leeanns Etsy HERE

Some more close ups for you!

Thats all for now. Thanks!

  2. You do brights so incredibly well Mrs Fagerberg!! love those doilies, such a great way to add vibrant colour. Really clever to use book page between the cardboard and the Hambly, looks totally cool! xxx

  3. This is wonderful Bente - one of your trademark layered layouts & you rocked the colours! Hope I can do mine tomorrow - the deadline is always so tight for CCG - not even a week!! I laughed out loud at your comment about the cards - which I have just posted BTW :) :)

  4. Great Layout Bente and while I like the blue flower I agree it looks even better without! Hugs Tx

  5. Love, love, love this! The mix is perfect with those pics and I like the way you used the string 'floating along' for the balloon!
