My Blue Fern Studios projects for September using NEW Autumn Anthology.

Hi there. I hope you are all well.
I have been pretty busy juggling two jobs and trying to fit in some me time in between.
At least it's good to have some awesome supplies to play with when I DO find the time,....
My two pages here show off some sheets from the new beautiful paper collection Autumn Anthology from Blue Fern Studios.  Michelle Singh simply came up with a mixture of stunning designs and some of my most favourite colours.(again!)

Here is my first page with the collection:

Did you know that Blue Fern Studios now even carry mists? There will be new mists with each collection and I used two of the new colours here; Imagine Inks Leaf and Sky.

I painted the chipboard title-words a neutral beige colour and decorated with some micro beads.
I used  the stunning  Jackie's Window to ground my design and this one is also painted with a mix of acrylic paint and some green mist. After it dried I went over the edges with a small chalk ink pad.

As you can see I  used some of the new stamps on my page.
I used all three designs from the Essential Textures set.
I cut out the banner that you can see under the chipboard from one of the calling cards.
The title is made of a couple of words from the  Chunky Words set.

To make my flower cluster complete I added a few small chipboard twigs called Berry Stems.
I love the brown colour they were painted and the delicate look of them.

Ok, now for my second page for today:

Another beautiful sheet from the Autumn Anthology collection
I actually fussy cut a part of one paper and added it on top of this blue one, (in case you go looking for a paper that looks like this :-D)

I used the Royal Heart Frame to surround the photo on top of the layers of paper and calling cards.

After I painted the heart frame a suitable colour I heat-embossed it with gold using one of the same textured stamps as above. I think the look is really neat!!

I added a few bits and pieces from the inside of larger chipboard pieces.
I find these are good to hold on to as they can be really useful.

As you see from the shot here I have added quite a lot of media to my layered papers.
I added different Prima Art Ingredients beads as well as glitter gel, paint, gesso, and ink.
I used some Fine Prima Art Sugar which means there is a certain shimmer to the page that does not come through in the pictures.

Finally a little reminder that there's still ample time to join in our sketch challenge for September.

Below is a picture of the sketch and a page I made as an example.

You can read ALL bout the challenge HERE.

Thanks for looking!

Lemoncraft *Fly Away*.

As I mentioned in my previous post I have said good bye to the Lemoncraft team and am cutting down on DT obligations. It feels good and I am looking forward to some well needed extra time.

That said I still have one page more to share with you:

I have used two different collections on this romantic page: Heart Painted and House of Roses.

I fussy cut around the patterned paper t make a frame for the background paper of my page.
I also fussycut some of the rose- and butterfly elements as well as some roses.

The dainty little cage, painted pink for the occation is by Blue Fern Studios and part of a set. I painted it so it would match the dark pink butterfly perfectly.

I have used an array of different flowers here.
The gorgeous, large, open roses are by I am Roses, the Thai manufacturer.

The wooden elements are by Prima Marketing from their Free Spirit collection and I have added a couple. They come in a cute little box with six different designs. An added bonus is that when the box ix empty it serves as a super cute mini shadowbox to be altered.

The flair buttons are by Lemoncraft as well and all the collections have matching designs.
They have a huge variety of other flair buttons in all styles and colours!

That's all for now. Thanks for checking out my page today.
Enjoy the rest of your week end!!

An off the page project for my Blue Fern Studios April post.

Hello friends!
It's the end of the month and I am up on the Blue Fern Studios blog with a project or three!
I used the new Deja Vu papers. It is such a pretty collection!
I also used beautiful Blue Fern Studios chipboards.

I wanted to share my first project here and it's an off the page project.
Such an easy project but it still has the 'cute' effect .-)
The small shadowbox was a leftover from some used up scrapsupplies.

I painted the box with diluted gesso and added small areas of green/pink paint.
I wanted to make the shadowbox with some pics of my youngest dd, Beatrice.

I painted the branch and added a couple of mini roses to it. I glued pictures and some journalling cards to the back and proceeded to decorate the box with flowers etc. Fun!!

Thanks for dropping by! Delighted to 'see' you :-)
Have a good week!

Some Blue Fern Studios inspiration.

Hello friends <3
I hope the week end has started well for you.
So far this has been a creative one for me as I am home alone and can do exactly as I like :-)
I have used the most recent beautiful paper collection from Blue Fern Studios for my creations.
It's called 'Love Story' and as you can tell for yourself it's really beautiful. I loved combining these stunning patterned papers with a variety of Blue Fern Studios chipboards

I used the 12x12 Chickenwire panel and cut out a shape that I wanted for my page.
I whitewashed the chipboard with some gesso.
I even used a piece of this same panel for one of my cards. I used the smallest size
'Splattered circles' to frame my photo after using a chalk inker to colour it black.

My title is made up of a combination of a die cut word (hello) and a chipboard word, sunshine, from the Optimist Word Set.
To build up some background texture I used the tiny stars of the new stamp set 'Forever' .

Here is my second page:
I love this pictuer of my daughter and you may have seen it before :-)
It ws taken before she cut off her long braids.

I used the Adore,Love,Cherish word set here as well as the Ironwork Arch and one of the smaller birdcages. I inked the arch black and gave the rest a lick of gold paint and then dabbed some white paint on top.

A lot of layering going on here with those gorgeous papers.

I built up the background with several layers of gesso stencils, mists and paints.

To round off this post I have a couple of feminine cards to share.

As I said earlier I used the chicken wire panel for one of the cards. For the other card I picked the lovely Ornate Frame. It's so elegant and easy to use for all kinds of projects.

I hope you can see in the picture below my treatment of the frame.
I spread some gesso on top with my fingers, then covered it in glue  before finally sprinkling some sparkly  'Art Sugar' on top. I never tried this before, but then I received some in the mail from my dear friend Eila and now there's no stopping me,...LOL! It looks really pretty and shimmery  IRL.

That's all from me today.
Have a great week end with lots of time to be creative.
Hope to see you soon again!
