Today I would like to share one more page that I made with the DT-kit I received from Your Scrapbook Stash. This is my eldest daughter Alexandra, and the photo was taken last Summer in the South of France.
My girls really like to dress in a pretty and individual way, and in Provence you can find a lot of things that are different from what is sold here at the top of Europe. Last year all three of them bought lovely hand made straw hats. Very pretty!
The papers here are from "Fancy Pants" new collection "It's The Little Things" and they are really cute. They are in sort of vintagey colours combined with black. The collection lends itself to lots of different kind of layouts.
I even used a neutral black sheet of cardstock as my base. I painted all around the edge with acrylic paint.
And the red embossed cardstock is from Coredinations.
The flowers are hand made from two layers of lace and held together by a beautiful vintage button.
I have discovered that I have a love for paper pleating. I like it to look a little rough and unplanned, and I think it adds a lot to the design. It is so easy to do. I don't even measure the distance between pleats or anything. I just do my pleats as I go along!
The ticket strip is from the the back of one of the patterned papers in the collection. You get a whole lot of tickets, and I even used some previously on my "Mature" layout a couple of posts down.
This is the other hand made flower I made with two layers of lace.It really is so fun and easy to make your own flowers. Some models I have seen look very beautiful, but seem very difficult to make. -Or maybe it all boils down to me being a bit impatient...LOL!
Just a little side-view. This layout is not particularily bumpy, but still has a lot of layers! This one has at most seven layers all together.
I leave you with wishes of a continued HAPPY EASTER for all of you my sweet blog friends. I hope you enjoy some lovely days with your near and dear ones!!
Take Care!

Fantastisk lag-på-lag layout. Stilig med all den hjemmelagede pynten - blomster, foldekanten etc - det gir en helt personlig touch! TFS!
ReplyDeleteBente ti scrivo in Italiano perchè devo dirti tante cose :) Spero tu riesca a capirmi. Il tuo layout è semplicemente stupendo!! Tutti i particolari, l'accostamento di colori...mi piace proprio tantissimo!! Complimenti!
ReplyDeleteLovely layout. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAnother totally beautiful & individual layout Bente! I really admire anyone in this industry with a definitive style & not many people have one - I am still struggling to find my signature style - but I could spot your layouts a mile off even if you used someone else's photos - and to me that's a great thing! I love your pleats - really want to try them. Do you have any problems getting your layouts into albums & page protectors due to all the layers or do you cut them down slightly smaller than 12inches to allow for the depth? I always marvel at the beauty of Alexandra - you must be fighting the boys away at the door LOL - and it's lovely your girls have an individual style - here all the youngsters are clones & my daughter is a real copy cat!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow, I love the colours of this LO. Congratulations !
