Another page for Blue Fern Studios.

As I planned my projects for the Blue Fern Studios DT this month I thought I must do something to show the Deja Vu collection has got other colours as well, not only the lilac/yellow combo that I am so partial to, but even offers other beautiful possibilities.

Here is my second page:

I am sorry the picture is not better but this is my second go and it didn't improve much.
Hopefully you can see the important pasrts anyway :-)

I used a green sheet for the background and the wood patterned paper on top. As these are pretty neutral you can really pick almost any colour to add as accents and embellishments.

Here are a few close ups too:

I used the new 'Deja Vu border chippie' painted green as a base for my page. I added a summery photo and picked pretty, illuminant yellow and red to go with it. It's such a vibrant and energetic combination. The photo was taken on the beach and I love the light in it!

I included a chipboard from the 'Ironworks accents' as a base for a small embellishmentcluster.

Thye title was made up of a metal word from the Ingvild Bolme collctionby Prima, 'Bliss*

I used a mix of pretty Prima flowers and other brands.
I love having a large flower stash to chose from.

This ornamental chipboard border that goes with the Deja Vu collection is one of my preferred
pieces right now. I hope  you found some inspiring detail in my page today and that
you will be back to visit soon again.

Have a lovely day!

What a Wonderful World for 'Blue Fern Studios'.

Hello to all you beautiful people out there!
I know I've been a lousy blogger lately but now I am back sharing again after spending a fabulous week in the Big Apple. New York was just awesome this time of year and I really enjoyed spending some time there with my sister who lives far away in Norway!
I promise I'll post a some pictures in a few days! :-)

Today I'll show you the first of my  pages showcasing some of the beautiful Blue Fern Studios chipboards and papers. They are such a treat to work with.

I decided on some pink and yellow tones mainly and painted my 'Floral Medley frame' using a pretty yellow colour that I picked up from the designs in the paper.
The papers are from the 'Montage ' collection.

I used some Blue Fern Studios stamps as well.
The hot-air balloon is part of the 'Journey' set and I even used some of te stamps from  'Halftone'.

Here are a few close ups as well:

I stamped the balloon once on a pink paper and once on a yellow one.The stamp is of really good quality and I am happy to say it stamps beautifully!

I added a few gorgeous blooms here and there as I almost always do.
Can't scrap without my flowers!....

The picture is of my beautiful eldest daughter taken a few years back on vacation in the south of France. We spent many a lovely Summer there! So many memories .-)

That was my last closie for today!
I hope you enjoyed this and I'll be back soon with my second page as well!
Thanks for looking!

The May sketch from Blue Fern Studios and a page using the beautiful new Déjà Vu collection.

I am sure many of you hve already seen and admired the new papers, stamps, and chipboards belonging to the new Déjà Vu collection designed by Michelle Singh for Blue Fern Studios.
I love the soft tones of light yellowy vanilla, lavender and springy pink.

It's easy to create both a vintage project or one with  a romantic shabby chic feel to it
with this feminine collection.

As you see I tried to keep the design pretty simple and just let the papers and a few embellishments take center stage. It is no secret I am a fan of lilac lavender, and purple and will gladly combine these colours with a soft yellow. I love how the flowers go so well with the papers.

Can you see the tiny tiny pearls (by Prima Marketing) that I added to the lamppost- chipboard and also to some of the green leaves. I like the added texture they give.
I added some neutral coconut fibers here and there to lighten up the design.

In this shot you can see the different layers of my page.
I softly distress all the edges by hand before assembling the papers.

Most of the gorgeous small blooms here are by the Norwegian brand Papirdesign and they have a really huge assortment of paper flowers. I love them!!

After adding my flowers to where I wanted them I gave them a lick of white paint to
'shabby them up' a little. ;-)

I hope you like the new Déjà Vu collection as much as I do and also that you take some
inspiration from what I made with it.

Here is a picture of the stamp set I used as well:

And last but not least;...
Here is the beautiful sketch that is our challenge for the lovely month of May!!

Look HERE to see the challenge-post and to see what my fellow DT members created :-)

Take care!
