Scraps of Elegance sponsoring SATW, and a feature at

I am lucky to be guesting the popular challenge site Scrap Around The World not one but TWO times this month! This time I have a sweet page to share that I made as part of the DT of Scraps of Elegance who are one of the sponsors of the  .............celebration.

This is the pretty mood board that we were given as inspiration:

In the photograph my colours turned out a little darker than those in the mood board, but I think that is ok as the board is for inspiration.

Here is a short pictoral description of how I made the page.

And here are the usual close ups of the details. I love this photo. It was taken of my middle daughter when she was a couple of years old and she will actually be 20 next birthday :-)
We had chicks in the garden and it was so much fun to see the joy on my three girls' faces! .-)

I used mostly the April kit from my fave kit club Scraps of Elegance for this page. The papers are by Bo Bunny and Glitz, and the red paper inside the trellies is by Papirdesign.

To add texture I used a mask with gesso and a similar trellis pattern cut with one of my new Sizzix dies. I love the versatility of those dies. Here I have cut them out, glued them to a red backing paper and then cut around the shapes for added interest.
You can find the dies HERE

Even the red flowers were made using a die from Sizzix die. (Tattered florals by Tim Holtz) HERE

I used letterstickers from Prima for my title and the splatters are made with mist.

I hope you enjoyed my page!

This morning I woke up to a nice notification that my recent page for Inkido called 'Milan Trip'
had been picked for the new feature called  'Layouts we Love'

You can see all the features on the blog HERE.

Have a lovely day!!

'Look Book' for Papirdesign.

Hi there! I hope your day started out great. In this part of the world we can see the sun promising to shine on us today and another beautiful spring day on the way.
And here is a Spring-inspired page from me...

I mixed a few sheets from different collections on this page. That is one of the very best things about Papirdesign; that all can be so easily matched.

This page was originally made for the PaperHaus magazine, but alas recently it was decided it will no longer be published. I mixed the lovely flowers from Papirdesign with some other brands.

I fussy cut the tiny butterflies from one of the lovely patterned papers.

That's all for now. Enjoy life 'til  next time!!

Here is a list of the dies I used:
The link below will take you to the full post with closeups and all!
Thanks for looking, and for any comments you might leave me over there.

A Milan Moment.

Hello again.Time to share my latest creation for Inkido!
I made a new page using the Beautiful Memories collection.

The picture is from a trip we made to wonderful Milan a few years back taken in front of the impressing Milan Cathedral. It was really a business trip but we managed to bring our daughters with us to spend some time with them there. There are so many beautiful things to see around the Piazza and so many great coffees to be had :-) And probably Europe's most expensive ice cream on Piazza del Duomo

This is the view from the cafe right oposite the majestic Cathedral.

And here are some close ups of my page for you:

I made some different flowers using my favourite Sizzix flower die and one of the pretty Inkido papers.

I used my border punches to give the papers  and layers an even more feminine expression.

Here you can see how well these papers go together. The colours are so soft and gorgeous.
I used a metal 'Junkyard Findings' by Ingvild Bolme called 'Antique Garden Sink', as well as some
beautiful Prima flowers.

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for looking. I hope you like my Milan page :-)

And here is another one from the kit!!:

This time I focused on all the delightful Prima Marketing products in the kit. They really helped
make this my favourite kit ever! I got almost the complete Prima Seashore collection including loads of  embellishments!

Also on this page I used my favourite die to make some of the gorgeoous flowers.

Sizzix Bigz die tattered Florals

I diecut a heart from the photo and used it as an embellishment.

The third and last page for now:

Also using the Prima Seashore collection for this one. I had a lot of fun with my punches creating an impression of waves on this page.

They say that a picture says more than a thousand words, so considering the amount of photos here I will keep it short and just wish you a lovely day!!

A page made for Les Papiers de Pandore and Sizzix UK.

It has been too long since since I shared anything here on my blog using the gorgeous collections from Les Papiers de Pandore. Julie's pretty papers and the Sizzix dies are a great match I think!

I used many different Pandore collections here and below you can find the names.

I used the new sprays from Prima here. Mostly the 'Glistening Waves' one. I just love them!!

Apart from the handmade flowers here I used a beautiful pink bloom by Prima from the Princess collection.

These are the products from Les Papiers de Pandore:

Cherry chérie "Mûres à point"
Invitation "Cartes"

'Happy' for Inkido GDT at SATW.

I guess by now it's no news to any of you that Scrap Around the World is celebrating their anniversary and that there is a lot of things going on over there. One of their awesome sponsors is Inkido, and the DT was invited to guest design for them. You can read about it here:

This month we are excited to announce that we are one of the TEN EPIC EVENT ANNIVERSARY event sponsors at Scrap Around The World & are also one of their Guest Design Teams!  Our DT coordinator Agnieszka is also representing us as one of the 10 chosen Guest Judges & we are so pleased to be involved in this great event, celebrating SATW’s First Birthday!

This is no ordinary month at Scrap Around the World.  9 out of 10 of the prizes awarded will be going to past Winners, Features or Finalists (those featured on their legendary Wall of Fame in the past year) & one prize will be awarded to a totally NEW winner {someone who has never featured on their Wall of Fame before}.  This is so that TEN EPIC WINNERS can be selected as the TOP TEN PLAYERS of 2013/14 at Scrap Around The World!

This will be a yearly competition held at this fantastic challenge blog & we are honoured to be a part of this inaugural event.  Please support Helen & her team at SATW by playing along this month.  There are 10 prizes, each valued at approximately $100 up for grabs, including free postage as usual, so it is so worth it, plus the inspiration is amazing!”
