"Skating Fun" "Little Winter Circus"

Yesterday I received the new collections that Julie sent me from France.
The latest "Les Papiers de Pandore" are so cute and the colours very happy.
You can sroll down a couple of posts and you can see the collections there.
I just had to start making something with them right away.
This one is my first and I have one more on my table.

I wanted to do something fun and in keeping with the spirit of the collection. There is a childlike abandon about it and I feel it should not be 'overworked'. I tried to keep things on the clean and simple side to let the pretty papers 'shine'.

Lately I have my sewing machine out and use it on almost all of my pages.
So even here to add some texture to the edges and borders. I used a die from Marianne Design to make the different snow flakes.

The cute little penguin here is cut from the papers and layered on a die cut journalling spot.

I wanted my title to be on the fan folded border but had some difficulties making the small letters stick. I cut a bit of hard plastic from some packaging and added my letters to it.
Now sticking down my title was much easier!
I was so lucky these older letter stickers from Pink Paislee were just the right colour!

As you can see there is not a single flower in sight here,...Shocking I know!.... :-)
I used the snowflakes as  substitute blooms and added leaves and some bling. All the snowflakes in different sizes have been fastened using pop dots to make them stand out and add some dimension.

Ok that was a fairly quick post today.
I wanted to do it now as I am going to the theatre tomorrow evening to see the musical EVITA and probably won't have time then.
I saw it many years ago with Elaine Paige in London when I lived over there, and that was fabulous.

Lastly, I would like to tell you that the next International Guest Designers have been posted on the Pandore blog and you can read it HERE. Big congratulations to all of them!!

Hugs!

"Everyday Portraits", part 2 of the new release from Les Papiers de Pandore.

Hi!!
You have already seen the sweet and beautifully coloured "Little Winter Circus" with its stamps, and today I am back to share something completely new from the Pandore brand.

Now we have small paper pads too! Yup!

This is a completely new format and it is available in packs 15x15 cm, 12 or 24 sheets recto / verso, and with matching stamps and badges.

This is not a Winter release, but rather intended to be an everyday line for all occations. The theme is something dear to all of us I think,...namely photography!
To illustrate that this is a line for all year Julie made this charming display using beach photos.

These are the matching badges. They are so nice and dimentional!

And,finally we have some new stamps! I can see they are going to find a way to many of my pages!!

I hope you like this as much as I do. I am hoping to receive my DT kit tomorrow!!!

If you would like the possibility of winning these new collections there are give-aways on the Pandore blog HERE. Good luck to you!
Have a nice evening!

Look what I found!! "The ScrapCake"

I was sorting through  piles of layouts and other scrappy stuff a couple of days ago. I discovered  some layouts that I have  possibly shared on FB but not here. I made them after I won some
" ScrapCake " papers on their blog

This page is made with the small 6x6 pads so there is a bit of mixing and matching of patterns to make it all come together. The collection is called My Private Happiness. The name is appropriate as I write about my youngest DD and that she has a mild and sweet disposition. At least until she gets to experience the teenage-moodswings ,..-just around the corner...LOL)

I used my Cheery Lynn doily dies and a craft knife in addition to my trusted sewing machine on this layout. I even used a Martha Stewart border punch.

With the craft knife I cut out the yellow lattice pattern. It took me quite some time as this was the first time I tried it. I loved the result!

Lots of pretty Prima flowers here and I made small 'leaves' with a pearl ribbon in a coral colour.

Many times I think a round picture packs quite a punch and makes for a layout that looks a little different. I am normally what I call a rather 'square' scrapper so it is  nice to try something different .
On this occation the round pattern in the papers encouraged the shaped photos. I then raised the round picture using pop dots and even added some liquid pearls.

Les papiers de Pandore ..."Little Winter Circus"

Finally we are allowed to share with you the lovely new collections that Julie Blanc and

With no more talk here is part one of the Winter release!

And just look at these cute stamps! I cannot wait to start using them!

So how about a blog candy!!?

A candy has become customary now with each new release...

"The Coolest Girl" for "Papirdesign"

Hi, I have been missing in action for a little while with so many things going on in my life (and not all good...) but now I am back again to share a new layout that I made for "Papirdesign". The thrill of having been invited to Line's team has definitely not worn off.. I have so many gorgeous supplies to play with.

I have had so much fun playing and creating with my new scrap-goodies from Norwegian scrap manu "Papirdesign".
I just love all the pretty things they sent me!!

They have the most yummy swirls and flowers and half pearls etc etc.
On this one I cut the swirl into different parts, because being rather large they go a long way.

I used a mask by Crafters Workshop to make the gessoed hexagons. I used a lid to cut out the rounds for my photos and matted further using a Spellbinders die and a Cheery Lynn one.

I fussy cut flowers to mix with mulberry ones for added dimension. I love the texture added by those tiny blue toned pearls as well.

Beatrice tried out a new hair do and sported a new waist coat that grand mother bought for her.
She really loved it.

I hope you enjoyed my latest page.
For a list of the supplies I used please visit the Papirdesign blog.

'Love my big Girl' Les Papiers de Pandore

Hi all.
I hope your week end has come off to a great start and that the sun is shining on you.
We are experiencing both subshine and rain, but that's only to be expected this time of the year in these parts...
Today I have finished a lo I started a while ago for the Oct 10th sketch feature at Pandore.
Unfortunately I did not have time to finish it in time so I did it today instead.
I ended up not following the sketch at all.

In just a couple of short weeks we will all be able to scrap with the new beautiful papers etc that Julie has created for us. Of course I have already seen what she has in store for us, and you are going to love it just like I do!!

I used *Invitation* for this simple page and I still enjoy scrapping it a lot, even if I have
done so many layouts with it already. -I think it is lovely!

Flowers are by "Manor House Creations". I managed to get hold of some now that they had a warehouse sale. Usually they are very hard to findaround here. And wildely expensive!

The picture is one of Alexandra taken this Summer on our vacations in Provence.
We enjoy our little photo shoots in the nice weather down there!

I sprayed here and there with some yellow Glimmer Mist and used a Crafters Workshop mask with gesso.

Now I am going to watch NCIS with the girls. It is one of our favourite shows!
Have a lovely week end!!

A new design team for me. I am over the moon!!!

Hi friends!
I am so excited today to tell you about another great design opportunity that has opened up for me!
I received a very sweet and friendly message from Line in Norway, my home country as some of you may remember, asking me if I would like to design for her company. I checked out her products and quickly decided that this was something I would love to do!

Today I am being introduced on the Papirdesign blog and I would like to share the pages I made for them with you as well.

Be warned; there are soo many photos!
If you like you can treat this as two blogposts and come back for the second part after dinner;...LOL!

Since I am posting many closeups because I think you should see the beautiful products I will keep my words to a minimum today. This post will be long enough....

I fussy-cut the roses from one of Papirdesigns sheets of vintage images. I think they are so pretty!

Papirdesign produce some lovely pearl and chrystal swirls and on this page I have cut pieces from one and used in different parts of the design.

I made the 'brick wall' using a small sized Crafters Workshop stencil and gesso. I made a grid on the paper with my sewing machine.

And now for the second page: ta taaaaa I hope you like PURPLE!
I LOVE purple!!!

This page is about Beatrice and her uncle/my brother.
I took this photo when we went to Norway this Summer. It is so nice to get together with family.

I always loved the mix of soft yellow with delightful purple.
I think there is something very delicate and feminine to the combination.
At Papirdesigh they produce some lovely delicate lace that I used to make the central circular design .
The lace and ribbon come in a large variety of colours as well as their half pearls and not to mention the roses,...oh the roses....Sigh!
I hope you have not tired of my close ups yet,...because here are some more :-) :

Being a lover of all things flower I was delighted to see the wide assortment of mini roses etc that they have. I am happy to say that everything on these los are by Papirdesign.

The half pearls come in all kinds of shades and with a variety of matching colours in each package.
The yellow letter stickers are fabulous and also come in many colours.

You see that little chipboard sitting there in the roses?  That's Norwegian for 'A hug for you'.
I was lucky they do it in purple :-)

Those yellow twiney things are the long ends that I cut off the cherryflowers. I thought they had some decorative potential!

Well done if you made it all the way here. Now I think we both need a break...LOL
Thanks for dropping by!

A new design opportunity for me, World Card Making Day and 'Websters Pages' *September Mix and Match challenge*.

First of all I would like to mention that I am now a proud member of Cassie Box's large and awesome team over at Paper Issues.

From what I have experienced so far this is an great place to be. So much going on that I will let you in on when I get a better grip on it myself. I am still learning the ways and trying to catch up there.
I will let you in on a secret though that I will soon have a discount code that will make a visit to the Paper Issues Etsy shop very worthwhile!....

I confess I  to being a hoarder of the beautiful papers and embellishments from Webster's Pags for the longest time. - And although I have heaps I keep buying more simply because they are beautiful!
For some reason I've found them a bit difficult to scrap though. I think mainly because the amount of
pattern they have, and also because they are too lovely to start cutting into...LOL!

Now that they have started producing a separate collection called Clean and Simple it all starts to come together for me as I have papers with a more subtle pattern to base my design upon.
I LOVE those!!

Now they have this challenge to combine different collections on their blog and on inspireMe .
This is my page for the challenge. I think I used about eight different collections and possibly more as I had products that I don't know what collection they belong to.

I am sorry the pictures are a little crappy but it's just rain, rain, rain here at the moment!!

Almost everythiong here is by Websters Pages except the smaller paper roses an the chipboard corners from Imaginarium Designs.

I think the photos speak for themselves.
I will leave you to check them out as I go continue with the lo's I am making.
I am quite excited about another toot I'll have in a day or two.....
I have been invited to a new DT and  I am creating up a storm for them at the moment!

I had an idea that I could add texture by scoring squares into my background paper.
I actually love how it turned out. What do you think? I am definitely going to do this again.
Often I like to sew this kind of pattern to my papers but this is so so much faster!!

I enjoy this beautiful view every day and I never tire of it. I have taken pictures of it in all seasons , and I am planning for a different lo with those in the future.
