More from the awesome 'Timeless' kit from Scraps of Elegance!

I have been a little absent recently. But here I am back again to share a page from the beautiful June kit by my favourite kit club Scraps of Elegance. If you scroll down a post you'll find a picture of the contents of the main kit. There are so many gorgeous bits and pieces there this month again.

This page uses one of the beautiful Prima papers from the 'Time Travelers Memories' collection. And some of the flowers are coordinating ones fom the same collection.

I used the Prima paper to make my own flowers using the Tattered florals die from Sizzix. This is my 'go to die' at the moment and I use it on almost everything.

A couple of more close ups of the clusters:

I love to use a brighter green here than I normally do on this one as the paper has some darker tones and I like to lighten it up a bit :-)

Thanks for visiting today and thanks for any comments you may leave me.
(I love reading your little messages still:-) )

I used some of the beautiful papers from 7 Dots for this page. The collection is called 'Nature Walk' and was designed by DeeDee Catron.

I also added this page into the Natural Beauty challenge on the 7 Dots blog.

Every child has her own kind of natural beauty and there is nothing lovelier than looking into the eyes of a happy and content child.

The challenge is HERE

And of course no post is really complete without a few close ups :-) :

I painted, distressed and used machine stitching on the papers before adding my photo of this beautiful little boy who is one of the girls' youngest cousins.

The 'brickwork' is  a Tim Holtz die for Sizzix that I cut several times and overlapped on the page. I also diecut the ovals for my itle spot and all those awesome flowers, that I am sure you recognize by now as the Sizzix Bigz die Tattered Florals .-)

I added a couple of larger 'banners' to the lower part of the page and I embellishd the flags with some of the washi tapes that was includede in the kit. I even added some of the clear acrylic flat back pebbles as part of my flower cluster.

The Prima Time Traveler's Memories collection metal clips look so cool and I used one to embellish my title spot. And I also used some lovely flowers from Norwegian manufacturer Papirdesign.

I used the blue cardstock to make some lovely flowers and add some splashes of colour.
I hope you liked it!  I'll be back soon to share some more from this beautiful kit from
Scraps of Elegance.

'My Beautiful Girl' for Inkido/Sizzix

Today I have a sweet page to share that I made for both the Sizzix and Inkido design teams. The pictures were taken the other evening at the nearest beach and I decided to convert them to black and white. I love working with black and white photos because they blend in so well with the coloured papers and embellishments. They match with everything!

I primed my 'Beautiful Memories' paper with gesso and a little mist using a stencil as well for added texture.

I cut two large circles using decorative scissors and stitched them to my paper. With a paintbrush I added gesso diluted with water to tone down the background music pattern. It could esily look very busy. I cut and embossed a smaller circle and used it as a mat for my two photos.

I made these gorgeous flowers in two sizes with the Tattered Florals die set that I love. It is just soo good for when you need some flowers to tone in with your papers.

I made my flower clusters tying in a swirly chipboard piece and also a light blue lace ribbon rosette.

I fussy cut some pretty butterflies from a matching patterned paper using the Susan's Garden Tool Kit which has become one of my absolute favourites to use when I craft.
All the tools in the kit are really very useful!

I love the texture added by the sweet handmade blooms made with Inkido papers.
-And being the same collection they are a perfect match!

Here you can see I layered different mediums too.
-Diluted gesso, modeling paste through a stencil and Prima Color Bloom mist.

I used these Sizzix products for my page:
Sizzix Big Shot starter kit (Powder Blue and Teal)
Sizzix Accessories Susan's Garden's Tool Kit
Sizzix Bigz Die, Tattered Florals
Life Made Simple, Sizzix thinlits basic set (I used the small heart)

Patterned papers: Inkido Beautiful Memories, Spring Time
Mini roses: Papirdesign
Lace: Papirdesign
Other flowers Prima, Petaloo

Thanks for visiting and hopefully you'll take some inspiration with you when you leave :-) !
Hugs!

Two cards for Les Papiers de Pandore/Sizzix UK

Hi today I have a couple of cards of a simpler style to show you.
I used beautiful papers from a couple of collections from Les Papiers de Pandore as well as some awesome Sizzix dies to make them.
I showed a sneak of one card before but here you can see them in full.

The first one is based on a journaling card on top of the woodgrain base and then some pieces die cut with the 'Life Made Simple' basics. I think those speach bubbles are very sweet.
Of course I had to use my fave flower die on this card as well!!

For number two I used the basics set again, and the 'Life Made Simple' 'Smile for the Camera' set. These are so cool and funky!

We have a new challenge on  the Papirdesign blog lasting no less than two months.
Here is what we say about it:

**It is finally Summer, and we have two moodboards for you for our Summer challenge. Interpret them as you like. You can be inspired by the colors, the pictures, memories or what you like. It would be nice if you tell us what inspired you when you make your project. We have an awesome price for you, that you can win if you use products from Papirdesign. You are of course free to join in anyway;-). No back linking please. Here are the moodboards and what inspired us:**

And here's mood board number two:

I created my card using mood board number one. This is what card number one looks like:

New palette at HeArt & Soul Artists.

Today is when the new palette is revealed at HeArt & Soul Artists (ex The Color Room/Scrap for Help). It's a beautiful monochrome combination in greens and I think it looks perfectly lovely!

You are required to use a specific household item for each challenge and this time that item is some kind of fabric. I have used cheese cloth and also fabric flowers (white lace ones).

Here is my page:

I used paper by Prima Marketing from an older pad with lots of ledger papers.
I found some nice greens in there that suited the palette well. I used one sheet for making pretty layered 'Tattered florals' with my Sizzix dies and also added some lovely mini roses by Papirdesign.

I used a mask by Crafers Workshop together with some mist and a sponge to make the honeycombe pattern, and also some gesso for the background.

I think the Say it in Chrystals Self Adhesive jewel art looks so lovely and adds such a pretty sheen to the page. These in green tones are from the Seashore collection.

Dont forget to go join in on the challenge.
Head on over to The Color Room blog. You have 1 month to do your project and load it into the My Linky Tool in the sidebar. Thank you for stopping by to take a look. The sweet little butterfly is a stamp from Inkido/ PapercraftScandinavia.
