Blue Fern Studios 'Memories' and preview of the new collection 'Frolic'

I have one more project to share that was part of my June post on the Blue Fern blog.
I love this picture that was taken as we celebrated a family birthday last Summer.

I used the soft Ombre Dreams collection for this page and this paper is called 'Susans Dream'.

Underneath my photo there are a few layers of papers that got the 'border punch-treatment'.
I haven't used my punches in a long time, so it was long overdue. I will do that soon again.
This particular punch is a deep edge one by Martha Stewart and called 'Floral Vine'.

I picked out some of the 'Shabby Brick bits' chipboard and painted them with gesso. Then I added some gel medium and sprinkled some fine yellow glitter on top. It looks really pretty in real life.

The main chipboard piece here is the beautiful 'Beaded Flourish frame' and you can take a closer look at it HERE.
I painted it with a mix of different colours and when dry I stamped on it with one of the 'Halftone' stamps.
To further embellish it I added some gold Stickles. I thought this would go well with the gold coloured
mist I used on my background.

Finally a couple of close up shots to show how I don't stick my entire layers to the backgroundpaper.

Many of you will know this but I think it's a great tip for the beginners who would like more texture and dimension on their pages.

Now, before you go I'd like to share an image of the upcoming and simply beautiful
new collection by MIchelle Singh for Blue Fern Studios:

It's called 'Frolic'

That's all for today!! I wish you all a great week!!

A shabby beach page for Blue Fern Studios.

Hi, We have already reached the last part of  June and Summer should be upon us Big Time!!
Unortunately the weather here seems to be stuck at 'April showers' and the occations to barbeque have been few and far between.....In Sweden we love to celebrate Midsummer outside with our traditional food and a dance and sing around the 'May-pole'.Well, I guess not much of that going on this year as yesterday was an utterly blusery and rainy day alas.
-So I stayed inside scrapping... What better substitute, -for almost anything...?

Here's my first page:

I based my layout on the beautiful Montage collection and particularily one of my fave sheets
the blue and white side of 'Fairyland'. I did use a lot of media on top, but that is one of the
many great things about the Blue Fern Studios papers; they are very thick and awesome
quality so they are able to take a lot of experimenting!

I picked a pretty picture of my youngest looking for seashells on the seashore last Summer.
As this is a beach themed page I decided to frame my picture using the gorgeous Seaside Frame.
It's got a little seahorse, a star, an anchor, etc so it's just perfect!

At first I primed my page with gesso. When dry I added a layer of a blue paint. I mixed several shades to get it just the right colour. I added a layer of crackle glaze on top.
Before the crackle dried I sprinkled  some special fairy glitter and some tiny glass beads on top.
After all we were looking for treasure :-)

The cracks in the paint are really small but look very cute in real life.
Unfortunately they don't show up well in the photos.

Thanks for looking in today!! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
xoxo

Lemoncraft *Fly Away*.

As I mentioned in my previous post I have said good bye to the Lemoncraft team and am cutting down on DT obligations. It feels good and I am looking forward to some well needed extra time.

That said I still have one page more to share with you:

I have used two different collections on this romantic page: Heart Painted and House of Roses.

I fussy cut around the patterned paper t make a frame for the background paper of my page.
I also fussycut some of the rose- and butterfly elements as well as some roses.

The dainty little cage, painted pink for the occation is by Blue Fern Studios and part of a set. I painted it so it would match the dark pink butterfly perfectly.

I have used an array of different flowers here.
The gorgeous, large, open roses are by I am Roses, the Thai manufacturer.

The wooden elements are by Prima Marketing from their Free Spirit collection and I have added a couple. They come in a cute little box with six different designs. An added bonus is that when the box ix empty it serves as a super cute mini shadowbox to be altered.

The flair buttons are by Lemoncraft as well and all the collections have matching designs.
They have a huge variety of other flair buttons in all styles and colours!

That's all for now. Thanks for checking out my page today.
Enjoy the rest of your week end!!

*Smile* -Lemoncraft *House of Roses*

Hi! Today I have a new page to share and it's one of my very last pages as a DT member for Lemoncraft company. I have been part of that DT for the past year now and decided not to reapply when my term was up. It's not that I don't love the products, because I really think they are awesome,
and I have loved every minute of it. -But I have decided to 'downsize' a little. I need less of deadlines and more 'me-time'. I don't know if that makes sense to you, but maybe when the time is right I will try out for new teams and we'll see how it goes ..) I still have a couple of ongoing commitments and I will be posting regularily for them of course :-)

I quite love this page.

I don't feel that way about my own work very often, but the combination of the beautiful 'House of Roses' papers and the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios chipboards is very appealing to me.
I also like the photo of me (which is even more rare ,...LOL) and it was taken by the multi talented Paula Pascual. (She also designs the most fabulous dies for Sizzix as well as stamps...)

I painted the chippies with a beige acrylic paint.  I also drybrushed some acrylic paint in beige, pink and white on that beautifulbackground paper.

I got some lovely flowers from 'I Am Roses' and I just love the adorable larger open roses. They come in lots of colours.

I based one of my clusters on top of the large corner-swirl by Blue Fern Studios. The fussy cut butterflies are by Lemoncraft as are the cute metal buttons.

Here are some more close ups:

Thanks for dropping by. I hope to see you again here soon!

My lo for the Blue Fern Studios June challenge.

Hi there lovely people!
I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend!
I have a quick share for you today. I made a page for the latest beautiful sketch on the Blue Fern Studios blog.

Here it is:

I used the latest collection called Deja Vu for this page.

And here is the sketch:

Of course I have to share a few close ups as well before  I'm finished :-)

Lots of pretty flowers here, mostly Prima Marketing and Papirdesign minin roses.
The chipboard underneath the purple mini roses is called Layering Stems and is part of a set
of three different ones. You can see all of them HERE

The butterfly is called Royal Monarchs and is part of a set of three different sizes.
You'll find them HERE.

As a title I used the word 'Adore' and you can find it HERE
The two other words of the set are Love and Cherish.

This beautiful birdcage is part of a set of two. It's called Deja Vu Tweets chipboard and you
can find it HERE

I used a stencil and gesso to create the pattern on my background and also added some matching
enamel dots as extra embellishments.

Thank you for looking in today and hopefully I'll see your pages linked up to the challenge
