'My Beautiful Family', using 'Invitation' by Les Papiers de Pandore.

Hello and Happy Week End to you all!
Today I have a page for you that goes to show that 'oldie can be goldie'.

I used an older collection by Les Papiers de Pandore for a collection of pictures of my girls amd me. It's called Invitations and it was just lying there in my drawer, still looking so pretty,... I had to pick it up and do something with it.
Just to let the papers shine I tried to do a version of 'clean and simple here :-) I don't know how much I succeeded though,...

I cut apart the callingcards and placed them on a sheet of patterned paper as frames for my photos.

I used a metallic copper-coloured sheet and one of the papers from the collection to form my title cutting it with a Sizzix alphabet called Alphanumeric
This alphabet is fabulous and you get several letters of each so you can cut out long words in one go. Just look at it HERE  (There is also a 'marquee' variation of it...)
I am actually quite into the recent trend to use gold and other shiny metallics on your pages.
I find it looks very pretty, although here it looks more orange than copper :-)

Just look at the cascade of pretty flowers down the center of the layout. Most are by Prima Marketing, but there are also some from  Norwegian Papirdesign, I Am Roses and others from my stash. The resin key is Ingvild Bolme for Prima and the small green/black stickers are by Basic Gray.

The word 'remember ' is also a die cut using my Sizzix die set 'Friendship Words', which I really love!! You can see it HERE

Do enjoy your Saturday and Sunday as much as you can and hug your dear ones!
See you soon!

XOXO

'Winter' for Les papiers de Pandore.

Hello again!!
I hope the week end has been wonderful and that you have been able to charge those batteries so you are ready for the week ahead! I have been working this week end, so as soon as I get a couple of hours I want to start a new scrappy project! This one here is my latest page and it was made for
Les Papiers de Pandore using the Scandinavia collection.

When I was in the UK visiting with my daughter last year we went shopping (of course) at the local Hobbycraft store and I bought some gold cardstock. I used it here to make some accents for my page.
Both the large snowflakes and the smaller rosette snowflake were made with Sizzix dies.
The larger one is  Sizzix Bigz die Stacked Snowflakes by Tim Holtz and the smaller one is by
Paula Pascual and called Winter Borders and Rosette.

I added some of Prima Finnabair's gold mica flakes and gold micro beads. I even used some Color Bloom in gold  for extra golden accents and drops.

The cute little wooden accent  Be Free is by Prima and the round gold-rimmed tag is by
American Crafts. I added some liquid pearl dots here and there ,-in gold of course :-P
I hope you like my black and golden Winter page and that I'll see you here soon again!
Take care!

'Hello Summer' for Les Papiers de Pandore.

Hello there, I hope your week is off to a good start!
It feels really great to be here sharing a page with you again.

For a few years now I have been part of the designteam at Les Papiers de Pandore and they always manage to create the most gorgeous collections. One of the fun things about this latest one  (apart from it being gorgeous of course :-D...) is that it is called Scandinavia. Many of you will know that
I live in Sweden , ie one of the Scandinavian countries. I love the names of the different papers.
They are called Stockholm, Göteborg, Uppsala,.....and there is even one with 'my town' Malmö.
Isn't that great!!!?

I picked a few  matching sheets and got to work. I prepared my background with gesso, mists and paints. That is always such fun and decides a whole lot the direction of the page. I cut into some of the papers and layered my design pretty central on my page. The doilies were also fussy cut from one of the sheets. Isn't that bird cute? I cut that one from one of the 15x15 papers in the collection.

In this shot you can see how I covered part of the painted chipboard from Blue Fern Studios with gold microbeads. That is a favourite trend at the moment. Love the micas and the beads a lot!!!
I am also a big fan of the Simple Stories Photo Stickers I used next to my photo. Fun!!

I love the little cursive words that I cut using the Sizzix Thinlits dies by Tim Holtz. It is called Friendship Words, Script. You can find it HERE
The  flowers are from I am Roses and of course Prima Marketing as are the leaves. I added a little washi tape here and there . I love to buy washi but I dont seem to be using a whole lot,....

Finally a closer look at some of the detail I hope you like it!

In any case that's all for today.
I will be back soon with some more Pandore goodness, and other stuff :-)

Bloghopping with Paper Issues. (...or Top 15 from 2015.)

Hello friends!! Welcome to this fun and relaxed bloghop!
What a great way to start off the NEW YEAR!!
Some time ago I was part of the fun design team at Cassie's Paper Issues! Loved it!!
Paper Issues and Friends have joined together for this carefree hop and I
decided I'd love to participte. Alas, with so many disruptive things happening in my life the last year
it has not been a productive one. To be honest I have struggled to keep up with my DT obligations.
But here are some of the pages I made and I hope you like them :-)
(At the end of the post you'll find some more links to more of the Friends & Fans participating)

The layouts are in no particular order.

Smile
I made this one for the Polish Lemoncraft designteam using House of Roses collection and
some lovely painted chipboards from Blue Fern Studios. The flowers are a combination
of Prima Marketing and I AM Roses.

Music of the Soul
The second one was made for Blue Fern Studios and I have used a gorgeous round frame that I painted and laquered to frame a cute pic of my DD.

 Memories
This third one was also made for Blue Fern Studios showcasing papers and chipboards. I really love this picture of the girls with their grandmother celebrating her birthday.

Everyday Moments
Another one for Blue Fern Studios. I whitewashed all the chipboards on my page.
This one was for the release of the Deja Vu collection.
Beatrice and our little cat Lady look so cute here.

Summer Souvenirs
Les Papiers de Pandore from France is such a big favourite. I love the collections that Julie Blanc comes up with and this summery beauty called Sunny Bay is no exception.

 Perfect Memories
This page shows off the Autumn Anthology collection from Blue Fern Studios. One of my fave collections from them for sure.

 Frolic in the Sun
Loving the Frolic collection from Blue Fern Studios, and I think it goes perfectly with this
summery photo of DD. I really love the colours here!!

Happy
This page is a combination of fabulous dies that I got from Sizzix UK and papers from Polish manufacturer Lemoncraft. I die cut two sizes of PL cards and arranged them on my page.
Alpha, greenery and butterflies are by Sizzix/Tim Holtz as well.

Alex
Here I have used a combination of Lemoncraft and Blue Fern Studios  as well as a few dies
from Sizzix UK.

Celebrate Every Day
I really had so much fun creaqting this next project for Blue Fern Studios. It's a round canvas that first of all received a thorough mixed media treatment, -which I then proceeded to almost entirely cover up. -But I loved every minute :-)

  A Perfect Moment
Design team layout for Blue Fern Studios with lots of colourwork and using some of their stamps for my background.

Here Comes the Sun
One more summery page using  Les Papiers de Pandore's delightful collections Sunny Bay and Cocktail collections. Such a light and happy page.

 Memories
This next page is a souvenir of a very special day. My eldest daughter graduated  from her
university in the UK and I wanted to make a page for her. I use the Blue Fern Studios
Paisley & vine collection.

Keep Creative and Take Pics
Another page made for Les Papiers de Pandore and using chipboard from Blue Fern Studios as
part of the decorations.

This was my first Home
This is one of my most fave pages for the year. It has a nice layered feel to it achieved in part by the Blue Fern Studios chipboard frames.I am also quite pleased with the mixed media background.
And who does not love flowers....?

Smile
I used the Montage  collection by Blue Fern Studios and some  beautiful BFS chipboard as well.
This was for my very first post on this design team :-)

Adore
To round this off another page using the Deja Vu collection from Blue Fern Studios. Lots of soft and pretty colours.

It's been ages since I took part in a blog hop so this is FUN!! Ok so there are a couple more than 15 layouts, but it was kind of hard to leave some out as I liked them equally much... :-)

Discover Dream Explore for Blue Fern Studios

Hi. Time for part two of my December Blue Fern Studios share :-)
I used the Juliannas Dream paper from the magical Ombre Dreams collection
Such a beautiful and feminine collection, and so versatile too! I always love the combination of yellow with purple. I can't say why I Love it so, except I find it sooo, sooo pretty!

And even here I have close ups to share:

I painted most of my chipboard pieces purple and gave them a lick of gesso on top to make them a bit more shabby. The Chained Bits look great here down the side of my photo. They are a good background for layering any kind of embellishment.

The Timeless Floral corner adds so much to a page. It's so great because you can turn it
any way you want so it will work in any corner The flowers are a combination of older/newer Prima Marketing and flowers from my stash.

I wanted a title that was not too overpowering so I went with a single chipboard word that I painted and clear embossed. The letter stickers by Prima were very glittery so I rubbed them with gesso to reduce the shiny aspect a little. I added some punched and die cut greenery as well made with the Tim Holtz  Laurel punch and the Sizzix Garden Greenery die.

And to round things off I have a couple of simple Christmas cards that I'd like to share with you.

The first one I made with one of the cards from the Christmas card sheet and added the bottom strip from a sheet down the sides. I used the Petal embossingpowder again.
The Framed Winter words are perfect for a card front.

On my second card you can see that even other non-christmassy collections can be used for seasonal cards. My background here is from the Montage collection, but the top sentiment is from the
Vintage Christmas collection of course. I added some bits from the Chain link
chipboard panel that I painted a dark red. I used a little of the Cotton Candy Imagine Ink
on the background and  a stencil on top.

That was all from me!
Again; Thank you so much to Leslie and Valerie for having me on the team for the last year.
It's been a pleasure!!
In Sweden we celebrated yesterday, but I wish my foreign friends a wonderful peaceful
Christmas Day whether you celebrate or not.
Merry Christmas and Peace on Earth!

'A Perfect Moment' for Blue Fern Studios

Hello friends!!
Only one week left of October,...where did time go?  Every year flies by faster than the other and today I actually found the  Blue Fern Studios Christmas collection on my 'doorstep'.
As you would expect it is totally gorgeous, but that will be for another post.
Today I have a project to show you that uses Autumn Anthology.

I used the Robin paper as a base and the Cottage paper on top.  I used a brayer to add a thin layer of           gesso to prime my paper for the Imagine Ink Sky mist and the Love Story 2 stamp set.

I cut a piece from the Shabby Brick Panel chipboard and haphazardly  painted it white. I then just gave it a slight splash of the same mist I used earlier.
And can you see that tiny little aprocot coloured blossom? I made it with the Tiny Tattered Florals set from Sizzix. (660227). And those lovely looking script words are made using another  Sizzix die Friendship Words: Script. (660225)

I picked a choipboard title to suit my page and after priming with gesso I painted it with blue acrylic paint. To finish the look I added some Distress stickles on top. I used a third choipboard piece here as well, but it may be hard to detect,....-It's the arrow from the Directions set.
But instead of painting it, this time I covered it in a cute washi tape.

So here's a closer look at the pretty colours in this page, and as you see I also cut some strips of other                                 pretty papers in this collection just so I could do a little layering.

And finally a real close look at my title. It was first gessoed then painted and finally
I gave it a lick of some distress stickles.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. I am so grateful that some of  of you still drop by on a regular basis even though I don't have much to share with you lately.
I spend so much time at work there is not much left to be creative :-)
Hopefully that will im,prove soon!!

XOXO

A 'grungy' page and a reminder of the Blue Fern August challenge.

Hi there, finally the week end and some free time! Woo hoo!
I have been neglecting this poor old blog lately and I should probably have posted this last week, but here it is!! Better late than never ;-)

I used the Montage collection for my second project. I love all the lovely yellow papers in that collection:-)

And here are some close ups of the details.

I used one of the Memory Frames as my title and hid it partially behind my photo.

Making banner-pieces or mats behind the photos are such great ways to use up those left over pieces from your favourite patterned papers.

The arrows are from the Directions set and simply painted black. The swirly flowers were made using the starter set of the Big Shot Plus
I cannot say enough how much I LOVE the new larger platform that allows me to cut and even emboss up to the size A4 or lettersize.

And then over to the new challenge at Blue Fern Studios.
