Not much to say, I am on a trip to the capital! Just braggin' a little....

Hi,

When you read this I am on the train on  my way to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
I am going with my youngest DD to see an exhibition at the Technical Museum where they have a lot of original displays from NASA. To be honest she is not the only one feeling a bit excited!
We are away for three days and  are bringing comfy shoes and are planning for extremely busy days. She loves museums at the moment and at her age they learn so much from actually seeing things in real life.

In real life we are also planning to meet with the lovely Eila who is such a sweet friend. I know we shares a love for coffee as well as scrapbooking. We met once already at the workshop of Ingvild Bolme,(which I realize I still did not blog about,...goodness me...) I am so looking forward to it all!

I don't have any scrappy shares today, but do you remember that I wrote in a previous post that my lo "She Loves the Sea" was in the top three at Two Peas the other day?.

Now I am so chuffed because three mornings of three possible I have woken up to the same sight.
I hope you don't mind me boasting a little ....

"Pink Paislee" "Vintage Vogue" for Your Scrapbook Stash, and a small toot at the end!

I must confess I am really looking for my mojo these days.I stand at my scrapdesk but have not produced anything of value for two weeks, which is  ages for me....

I am waiting around to see what happens to one of the sites where I am on the team, but right now it is all hanging in a limbo, and that is not good for me.....I love the site though and the lovely community, and that's why I'll hang in there for a little while longer...You gotta hope...

As I am not very productive at the moment I am glad I have some more layouts to share that I made a while ago for Your Scrapbook Stash, where I am Octobers Guest Designer.

Like the layouts in last weeks post I used the gorgeous collection "Vintage Vogue" by "Pink Paislee"

A small warning; this is not a very short post!

I wanted to make a grid design to showcase the pretty papers and embellishments.

I cut nine pieces and put a little glue in the middle on the back of each. With all my bits securely fastened I got my sewing machine out and stitched all the nine pieces to my black cardstock.

I then decided in which areas I wanted my photos to go.
I added my ephemera and some lovely bling  lovely buttons. I also love those adorable spool buttons. They add such a touch of whimsy to this grid design. .

The layout is about when Victoria cut off her long air. I think it was maybe five years ago and she looks really young in these photos.

"Vintage Vogue" even comes with a card of it's own matching trim. 

I used the purple lace on this one. 

To finish off my purple theme I decided to paint my "Timber" wooden alphabet in a matching purple tone.

I also made a Halloween layout with this colllection....

I know it was not meant for that , but the colours lend themselves to my photos from last years celebration.

The spiders are made usig a QK die and the white stuff is cheese cloth, or gauze as some call it.

Very fun stuff to work with!

I used the ephemera on this as well as the versatile wooden letters.

We spent the whole day at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. Everything was so beautifully done up with pumpkins and decorations everywhere. There was a large team of actors dressed up as different witches etc,and we watched a show as well. And in the evening there is a large Halloween procession with all the characters and a marching band in it.            

Even I had a little fun dressing up and it seemed the witches appreciated it! LOL!

Before I go I would like to toot a little as one of the layouts I made for YSS and posted on TwoPeas yesterday was quite well liked.
I am really pleased!!

It is the first time I have been number one in all the categories

Guest Designer at Your Scrapbook Stash. Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue

A while back I was lucky enough to be asked by Erica at Your Scrapbook Stash to be a guest designer there this month.

I received a gorgeous kit filled with "Pink Paislee" "Vintage Vogue" goodness and also some sweet papers and stickers from the "Simple Stories" "Baby Steps" line.

I dug right into my parcel and picked some Pink Paislee to start with.

The colours here look so pretty together and makes me think of a fifties ice cream parlour or an old fifties movie. The colours are quite pastel, but I find they work well for both boys and girls.

On this layout I used the rosettes and the spool buttons as well as the ephemera.

The wooden alphabet that was included in my kit is adorable and so easy to paint or mist in any shade that you like.-Or you can keep it plain.... On my first page I decided to use acrylic paint to make it pink.

In this close up you get a better view of one of the rosettes.

I added a spool button on top and some bling.

And here you can appreciate that alphabet better .

You can still see the wood through the paint. 

As a base for my title I used one of the banners.            

The second layout I would like to share today is one of my little nephew. He sis such a cutie and alöways up to mischief.

Like a typical little boy he finds his "toys" everywhere.

I cut out a rounded piece from the paper with the letter pattern and picked some of the many pretty flags/banners from the ephemera pack. I cut them in half and stuck them underneath my shaped paper. Then I went for my buttons jar. I added amall buttons all along the edge for a happy look.

This time I used some mist to color the wooden title.

In my kit I even received some pink and lilac twine.

I decided the lilac one would go well with my colours here and decided to write part of my title with it. It turned out pretty cool I think, except I wish I had done it a bit bigger as it was a bit tricky!
