CLOSED Giveaway no 3 and some more favourites from the new releases.

Today is the day I give away my third gift certificate to the YSS store.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post. I would love for you to become followers of my fairly new blog too.

Tomorrow will be an exciting day when we reveal who are the winners of all the gift certificates from all the blogs on this CHA blog hop! Make sure you check back then!

I want to share some new cool product  ideas from Jenni Bowlin. I just love the look of these sets and the great thing is they can be made into a book with different pages.
You can add pages to it yourself if six pages is not enough for you.

This is how they describe it on their web page:

"Six various pre-punched pages per book such as book board, heavy cardstock and transparency.  Two antique brass rings included."

I am sure a lot of fun can be had creating beautiful projects with these book-kits.

Something thet seems to be at the top of te list for many of my blog-friends is
Emmas'shop and the other collections coming soon from Crate Paper.

I thought I would leave you for now with some eye candy craeted by Sarah Martina.

TFL today, and now it's time for you to leave a comment and then continue on with the blog hop in this order:

Love the look of these little frames.

Les Papiers de Pandore - first layout.

A short while ago I presented to you the lovely new collection of the talented Julie Blanc. It's called  Les Papiers de Pandore/ Garden Party.
It was such a pleasure to work with the beautiful colours of the collection. I am sure it will be a big success for her.
Anyway, I was feeling a little nervous presenting Julie with  my first effort, but very happy when she said it was all she had hoped for! Sigh of relief..lol!
I shall be guest designing for Les Papiers de Pandore for three months so look out for more soon to come!

I want to share the page with you. I hope you like it, too.

Both the fronts and backs of the papers are lovely. I have used a mix of both. The journaling spots that are even lovely for decoration were cut out from one of the papers.

Now that I've got your attention I weould like to share a project I made with my DT kit for January .

I have used the Hoopla Line by Glitz for the pps and the tiny Ivory letterstickers.
The transparent doilies can also be found in the shop. They are by Maya Road.

The three little handmade flowers are made with the precut fabric kit from Punky Sprouts. I made all three with one precut flower as I did not want them so large.
The little butterfly is by Prima.

The letter stickers for the title are by Bella Blvd and you can find different colours in the store.
Hurry over! There's a BIG sale going on to empty the warehouse and make place for all the news!

Week 4 of YSS at CCG Now # 177.

It's that day of the week again!
Time for another great color combo from ColorCombos Galore , this time #177.
Not an easy one I think but I am quite pleased with the overall end result.

I used a piece of patterned paper to make the leaves. Some flowers are hand made and the blue ones are from a local scrap shop. they didn't have a name. The birds are from a die by Quickutz. I sewed by hand around the more neutral coloured cardstock. The dotted doily is backed with white cardstock.

Here you can get a closer look.

That lovely key with the word Dreams on it is by Tim Holtz. Adorable.

Thanks for looking!

Watching Milan-Cesena at San Siro.

On Sunday morning very I went with my business partner to Milan with SAS to make purchases for our Spring collection. A long time ago we also reserved tickets to go see a football match at the famous stadium San Siro, home of AC milan and even Inter.

It was a very special moment to look out across this vast arena with such traditions.
The match was so so, but we were just excited to be there.
Frosting on the cake was that our favourite Ibra, or Zlatan Ibrahimovic as is his full name scored two goals! Woo hoo. Milan won 2-0.

Something that spoiled the evening a little for us was the terribly cold weather.I was shaking violently almost the full three hours we were sitting there.

Posted by Picasa

It was so cool to hear the fans cheering on their team, from both sides. I will definitely do this again when it is not so cold.
We even managed to find a few things for the business, but with the cold conditions I think we arrived too early. In a couple of weeks there will surely be more choise. But we brought home a heap of new beautiful necklaces and scarves!
Now off to get some rest!

God put a rainbow in the clouds... CCG # 176

Now I finished my layout for this weeks combo at CCG.

I based it mostly on the sketch Alyssa created for the blog at Your Scrapbook Stash.

There are a lot of exciting things going on over there . Erica is celebrating the 4 years of the store with a bunch of exciting activities in the blog. Press here to see the racap of activities.

To see the fabulous creations of the other Stash Girls look here.

This is the layout I created :

In the previous post you can see the Colours and the Inspiration Board # 176.

I made the clouds from cardboard, inked the edges and painted them. I made an overlay from tulle and stuck the title on top.
The pleated ribbon is from Maya Road and I got it from the store at YSS.

I love buttons at the moment. When all else fail,... add some buttons, that is my new philosophy!

The funny head-gear that Beatrice is wearing is from a school play .
She had just come home and I had to take a picture.
Her big sister helped her make it at the last moment and I think it is kind of funny and cute.

I appreciate all your sweet comments!
Have a great day!

Colour Combos Galore # 176 / YSS week 3.

Such a lovely reveal!

These are the beautiful colours we get to play with this week. I did not finish my lo in  time for this one so I shall have to upload it later.

The colours make me think of Summer Sea and Sand!
What do you think ?

I'll be back soon!

Blissful Memories.

Just a quick one for Your Scrapbook Stash showcasing some more of the beautiful pps from October Afternoon.
I wanted to make use of what was left of daylight so I rushed to photograph the layout before I had attached journaling-strips. I will do that later. I need to think some more about what I will want to share on this page. I just think the photos speak volumes about what a great day this was!

Iwanted to keep the design rather uncluttered and decided to hold back on the layering this time. I added a hint of paint around the edges and buffed a little with my edge-scraper, and that was it!

The half circles that kind of makes the design look a little like a flower are cut from the patterned paper with banners on it.

Most paper are from the clearance section, but the narrow strips with red and with stars are from the Modern Homemaker line.

The swirl and flower are from Prima Marketing.

This was a very good day!!

Thanks for visiting!

I appreciate any feedback you feel like sharing!

Fantastic new collection from LES PAPIERS DE PANDORE!

At the beginning of this year I received a mail from the eminent Julie Blanc of France.
I have long admired her very beautiful creations on TCR and was very happy to hear that she felt the same about my work.

When she mailed me a preview of her upcoming collection of scrapbooking papers and stamps I was stunned with how lovely the collection was.

Imagine then how happy it made me when she asked if I would consider guest-designing with her collection for a three month- period. I was thrilled, and just could not wait to get to work creating with the Garden Party-collection as it is called. The company is based in Provence and  you can check it out here:
 Les Papiers de Pandore.

The Swedish mail service has not impressed me very much lately, but this afternoon finally the beauties arrived!

I don't have time to write much more,...gotta go create...., but I can tell you it all looks every bit as lovely in real life. The collection will be in the shops in France I  think on Jan. 24 th.

The collection consists of six different double sided papers . One sheet  is with printed letters on one side and different journaling spots on the other.
There are also co-ordinating stamps to go with the papers.

Have a lovely day!!

Potato Shoot For Daddy!

I made this for the gallery over at Your Scrapbook Stash. There is an awsome selection on sale in the store to make space for all the new CHA releases.

I have used some patterned papers from  previous collections of October Afternoon. I also used some fabric Thickers that I think are so awsome!

In the photo is Beatrice photographing her potatoes that we just dug up. She wanted to take a photo with her cellphone to send to her father who was out of town. She was very proud of her (not so) big crop!

I actually only used two sheets of paper alltogether on this. The blue and the black paper is from the same sheet.I cut out a square and from the resulting frame I made a photo mat that I tucked in around the edge to make it look like a new sheet. The blue piece I held under running water ,then made it into a ball . After it dried i flattened it again. All this to create a bit more texture. The metal butterfly that was a gift from a friend I painted roughly with white Paint Dabber.

The last close-up shows more of the distressed paper. The green lace I think is Prima Marketing.

That's all for today.

But tomorrow I will show you some pictures of some gorgeous French scrap-goodies.

I will let you have a look at the new collection from Julie Blanc, that she so generously offered for me to play with!!

Thanks for visiting!
