A mini album using mainly Pink Paislee goodies.

It is no secret that I love the gorgeous products from Pink Paislee and am one of the first in line
as well, when it comes to ordering their warehouse boxes.
They are so brim filled that it is difficult to find ways to use it all up. I
I have long wanted to start making more mini albums and this is the first one ever that I started and finished!! LOL!

I had a whole bunch of cute photos of Beatrice and little Lady, and decided to use those for my project.

I made a collage in Picasa with some of the inside pages so as not to overwhealm you with too many detail photos,...I know I do that sometimes....lol.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my little album. I have to rush off to work now, and hope your day turns out wonderfully!!
Take care!!

Another layout with "The ScrapCake" "The Bright Side of Life" and a feature at The Paper Variety!

As I told you recently I managed to finally get hold of the previous collections from "The ScrapCake" by Karola Witczak. I have so enjoyed playing with my papers and tags.
I have spent a little time the last few evenings to finish my scond layout that  want to share with you.

I love using my Cheery Lynn doily dies at the moment, or should I say I love them still...
I added a lot of blooms, mostly Prima, but also others from my stash.

The title letters are from American Crafts Thickers. I used parts of a thin metal decoration as embellishments too.I found it in the sale and there are a lot of little branches to be cut off.

I fussy cut the roses off some of the papers. What looks like tags with the journaling on is what was left of one of the half sized papers after I cut away the roses from the other side.
There are quite a lot of useful elements for example to cut out.

A close up of some of my layering.

My flower cluster with a close up of the metal twigs. I also added some vintage lace.

I love those Prima blooms. They are so soft and feminine.

This afternoon I took my layout ouside briefly to get a better photograph. Unfortunately one of these flowers was not stuck down properly and just ble away....
I looked for it for a while but the wind took it!
That is so typical :-)

Before I go I am happy to tell you that another layout I made with The Scrapcake papers
was featured today at The Paper Variety.
Made me smile!!

I hope all of you find something to make you happy too!!
TGIF!!

Color Combos Galore # 216. "Pour some sugar on me".

Blogger is playing tricks, but if you press the title of the post you will see it. Sorry

Color Combo Challenge #216

Hello everyone! We are back for CARDS and TAGS Week. That means for this challenge you are creating those projects only. Our Layouts, Mini-Albums and Off-the-age Challenge for these colors can be found here in Color Combos Galore Challenge #215
The deadline for BOTH Challenges is January 30, 11:59pm USA/EST.

ETA: Please note that due to the delay in this week's post,
Challenge #216 has been extended by two days to January 30.

This week's theme is sweets! January 23 is National Pie Day and International Creativity Month, so we are celebrating with the following Challenge. Check out all the details in our new Inspiration Board! Have fun with it this week!

This is  the beautiful inspiration board that Janet compiled for us this week.

I made a shaped card for this challenge. i had a hard time finding the right supplies in my stash,
and ended up using some mist and paint to try and arrive at the right colours.

i am not so used to mists yet as I am recently starting to play with them. I got a bit too much of the yellow mist on my one flower, but that will have to do.

I used mostly Prima on this card.
I cut out a template for the card in ordinary printerpaper and then just cut off a liitle bit around the margine to make the next smaller shape for the light blue paper.
Have a great day, and don't forget there is an extended due date on this one.
Hope to see some of you play along!!

Paper Variety and Scrap Cake layout. -And a Scrap Cake give away!

Today I have a layout to share that I made with "The Scrap Cake" collection "Life on the Bright Side"
The collection is not easily available here in Sweden so it has taken me some time to get hold of it!!

I also made it for the challenge over at 'The Paper Variety' to use fanfold flowers on a layout.

I added some raspberry coloured cardstock that matched the Scrap Cake papers very well. It shows up a bit brighter in the pictures though.

I an doing the 'violin-run' in a few minutes so I will more or less post and run this time.
I am taking a couple of girls to a week end workshop two hours there and two hours back!!
But I trust the pictures are self explanatory :-)

Before I go I just want to tell you about this Scrap Cake giveaway:

You post this picture of the new collections  write a little something on your blog about the giveaway and then check back in at the Scrap Cake blog to let them know you posted.

Color Combos Galore #215 Puttin' on the Ritz

Welcome to the latest challenge over at Color Combos Galore!
We have a lovely colour combination for you this week that's perfect for those birthday pictures that you maybe never got round to scrapping. Or perhaps the lovely shots from this Spring. They are even perfect for those beautiful Winter photos that you like so much. If you like pastels this is definitely a challenge for you!!

Do you want to you have a closer look?

All the information that you need is on the inspiration board. Please read carefully!

And here is my layout.I still feel there is something missing on it but I will work it out un due time.

While I ponder what I can do to make it better I will share some close ups:

I love this photo of Victoria. i have scrapped it before and probably will again,... :-)

I had so much fun with the fan pleated flowers, but they took more time to do than I had expected.
And they were quite tricky to stick down on the page to in the right way.

The paper flowers go diagonally across the page. I used a combination of papers fro Echo Park, and Prima. The chrystal flower center is also by Prima marketing.
I used a combination of mists, in a small dosis though as I am just starting on that road. I used Mr Hueys, Tattered Angels and OA Sprinklers. To the rosettes I added dots of gesso to tone them down a bit.

So I guess by now :-) you can see how I was inspired by the hats in the photo... How about you?
I am looking forward to seeing your interpretations soon!

Finally I would like to toot a tiny little bit because I have been in the Top 3 again at Two Peas In a Bucket.
Please indulge me...The first of these was some time ago.

 Yesterday I was lucky again.

And this one I had really forgotten about..
It was mentioned over at the Echo Park blog quite some time ago.

To those still with me... have a glorious day!!

Come and pick up your special discount code at Stop and Scrap!!

Today I have some good news for the shoppers among us!

There is a new promotion going on over at Stop and Scrap!
I was so pleased that the nice people over at my favourite scrapstore invited me to take part!

They have been making alot of changes over there lately.
They have always had the best prices in the business, but due to a huge workload (they were only a team of two people) thay have sometimes taken a little longer than others to deliver. This is now a thing of the past. I ordered just over a week ago and today I tracked my parcel to the local post office, that is pretty impressing I would say!

Stop and Scrap are expanding at the moment and have taken additional partners to be able to keep up this new exceptional service.

They are determined to make 2012 the best year yet!
They are committed to commit to the best pricing and shipping speed possible.

For you to be able to experience first hand their service they want to give the readers of this blog a

general discount of 12% off everything in the store!

I would say theat is great news considering the prices are low to begin with!

They have a large Pre-order section where they will offer the very newest collections long before they reach the shelves in the local stores. Especially for us living in other countries!
(Of course that means that these cannot ship before they have come from the manufacturers.)

Today is the Grand Opening of the Prima Marketing Pre-order sales.

Why not pay a visit to STOP AND SCRAP to see all the collections they have for pre-order and also check out what is left in their large clearance and sales sections.

When you have filled your cart make sure to use the code PAPERGLUE so you get your 12% discount !!

This code you are welcome to use for the whole first month. I have not got exact dates, but will definitely let you know when things change.

I already went to the store and have stacked up on ALL the new Prima collections
and a lot of the gorgeous news from My Minds Eye,too. I went early so I would not miss anything.
The Prima stuff always sells out fast!!

I hope you enjoyed my news.
See you again soon!

Time again for OUAS!! "Crate Paper" " Peppermint"

Have you seen the new sketch over at OUAS?
It is a beauty!  Have a look here:

January 15th Challenge

Journalling Criteria
HELLO 2012 or GOODBYE 2011?

For this challenge, the journalling theme is new beginnings, upcoming adventures but also saying goodbye to yet another year.. Are you glad 2011 is over? Are you looking forward to starting fresh in 2012? What are your goals or resolutions for the year ahead? What are you most looking forward to? Or maybe you can journal about your thoughts for the new year. You must combine the sketch and the journaling criteria.

Things that you can journal about: a new job, house, baby or new scrapping adventures or Design Teams. Are you taking time off work? Are you planning a holiday somewhere? Maybe your children are starting school or you are getting a new pet. Or you could tell us why you are glad 2011 is over or why you will miss it. Anything goes really!

Remember that you are allowed to also create a card or altered project based on this sketch and instead of the journalling criteria you need to use a quote.
This is my take on the sketch:

I used the new collection from "Crate Paper" for this. It is called "Peppermint" I seem to love all things Crate, and this is no exception!

At first I was going to use a diecut piece of paper for the round shape in the sketch.  Instead  I decided to punch small rounds from the different patterned papers and sew them to form a circle. That way I could avoid covering up a large part of the woodgrain paper.

I think the diecut pieces in the collections are so cute. I find they add a homely feel to the layout.
In the same way a log cabin would... :-)

I used a Martha Stewart border punch and papers from the collection to make the mat/strip for the title. The red letter stickers from American Craft, Thickers have little hearts on a red bottom. I found them in a small scrapbooking shop in France last Summer

My journaling is about how much fun we have when we go away and do things as a family and that I am hoping for more time like that in the coming year!

How about you? I would love to hear yout thoughts on this topic and to see some stunning layouts of yours over at OUAS!!
Nice to see you, hope too see you again soon!!

Les papiers de Pandore "En Attendent" It is early spring I believe!!

Today we have had lovely sunny weather. It is still too cold though, for the cat to want to be outside. We are laughing a little at her, because the whole winter she has refused to go outside. In warmer conditions we cannot keep her inside,...
Well actually I have been feeling a bit reluctant to go outside myself....
We have had so many storms, gales and rain, rain, rain lately that the rays of sun we got today felt like a true gift!!
It was so nice to be reminded that we actually do get sun up here in beautiful Scandinavia,too....
We just have to wait for it...But the wonderful Summer, shiort as it is ,..is SO worth waiting for!

Today I was standing at my scrapdesk in the sun and this time I reached for the beautiful winter collection from Julie Blanc.
It is called "En Attendent" and is a real gem.

In a couple of weeks I am hoping to share the new magic that Julie has created for her company "Les Papiers de Pandore". I have seen the designs for the new collection on our DT forum and it is AMAZING!!
I can't wait to start creating with it!!

This is what I made today:

I had some cute photos on my desk that I printed out a while ago and wanted to scrap.
These were just the right papers to get the job done.

Recently I bought a new mask that I wanted to try.
I added light turquoise 'bricks' in the background with the mask.
I outlined the top of each brick in pencil and then added a little bit of dimentional snow paint to the 'bricks'

I cut a frame from one of the papers and distressed it. I sewed it to my background adding a strip of gray paper from top to bottom.
I fussy cut a lot of snowflakes from pp and decided where they should go. I embellished them with some glitter and liquid pearls.
To make my photo stand out more I added a narrow mat the same colour grey that I used in the strip.
I also cut out a red round piece of pp and fastened both together.
I used my sewing machine again to make sure all the layers were securely fastened to the base.

Then I picked out some awesome  chipboard from Imaginarium Designs that I really love.
I used the small alphabet (HERE) and half of a swirl (HERE). I painted them with the same dimentional snow paint I used for the bricks. I find it adds such a lot of texture.

I used a fussy cut journaling spot together with the chipboard for my title. The tiny letter stickers are from "Making Memories".

I picked a Prima flower and some more flowers and leaves from my stash as extra embellishments.
I used some pink Tattered Angels glimmer mist to colour the small pink bloom in this picture.

Lastly I have one more photo of the whole layout to share.
I have been waiting so long for a little light and in this photo, although not the best of shots admittedly, you can really see that the light is back! Hurray!
I like the way the sun casts shadows on my page.

Take care my sweet bloggy friends, Come back soon!

Color Combos Galore #214 . National bubble bath day!

Welcome to the new challenge at CCG. This time it's number 214!

The new set up means that the same combo goes over two weeks but with a slightly different challenge. Challenge #213 from last week is a layout/off the page challenge and that one is still on.
Both the challenges will finish next week end so there's plenty of time if you still haven't started the first one.
This week is a cards/tags week and this is what I made:

I decided I would make  tags to fit in the box for scrap resolutions I prepared for
the challenge last week.
I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the shapes and glued two pieces together to make one tag.
Then i decorated them  mostly using chipboard from
Imaginarium Desugns and white letter stickers from Rose Moka. The small resin angel is from Panduro and the feather is from my easter decorations... :-).
I painted some of the chipboard pieces with dimentional paint and I embossed the dressform with silver powder. I added a small piece of rose ribbon to embellish it further.

On the back of my tags I wrote little messages for myself with some goals for the year to come.

For example on the back of "Organize" I wrote "I will clean up my scrap space and organize all my stuff".
On " Be a better blogger" I simply wrote "I will blog more regularly and write better texts".
I wanted to keep it simple.

This is how the tags fit inside the box. You can see the box HERE.
And here you have a closer view of the small chipboard frame that I used to embellish my "Photograph" tag.

You can find the frame HERE
The dressform is HERE
The swirly flourish that I cut in half is HERE
And the vine flourish can be found HERE:

And finally a layered 'gateau' of tags.

And with that little dessert I say goodbye for now.
Thanks for dropping by!!
