A blue page for DT Inkido 'Hello Sunshine'

Hi, I hope you enjoyed looking at my gorgeous peonies in yesterdays post.
It's such a shame they don't last forever....

First a little reminder that today is the last day that the Blogger following gadget will be active.
I decided to follow the example many of my friends and join Bloglovin.

If you are fast today you can import all the blogs you are following with Blogger to Bloglovin'.
I  imported each and every one of my fave blogs with not much more than a click of a button. Apparently tomorrow it'll be too late.

I hate change and I don't like this either.
I have added a Bloglovin gadget like this one to my sidebar

and by clicking the sidebar one you will be able to stay a follower of this blog.

Now I'd like to share my latest page made for my Sunday's post at Inkido
I have done so many pinkish romantic layouts lately that I felt like making a different kind today. Conveniently I had a couple of photos laying on my desk from when my youngest sister and her family was visiting here. So I did a boy page,...( still with flowers mind you ;-) )

I cut out the word Sunshine in my title with the Sihouette Cameo and placed a dark and a light version on top of eachother, but slightly off, to create a shadow effect.

And here are some shots of the details:

I decided I wanted to try a different combo. Normally I might still have combined the blue with pink or white or something. Instead I decided to use some of those tan coloured leaves and flowers I received in my latest Inkido kit. I think they work pretty well with the boyish blue.

Those cute butterflies that I don't seem to ever get enough of, are cut from an Inkido paper.
They really have so many that are great for fussy cutting if you are into that.
The pretty rosebuds are made by Norwegian brand Papirdesign and they have the most amazing range of colours in their flowers. I love them!!

The woodgrain in the background was done using a bought mask.
If you still have not tried let me tell you it is so very easy and you could start trying with a mask that  you make yourself, or maybe a leftover from a chipboard sheet.
I promise you it is great fun!!

The little chipboard decoration is from Polish Wycinanka. I like the styles they make.

Finally, there is a sprinkling of half pearls in the right hand corner. The three colors come from the same package. I think they look so pretty and add an extra dimension to the page.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I will be back in a day or two to share more pages that I prepared for assignments for the beginning of the month.

Hugs!!

Peonies peonies peonies,... I love them!!

Hi again. I cannot believe it'll be two weeks since I last posted...

Time really flies and I have been kept busy! I spent a short week over in the UK helping my DD move home from university for the summer. She got a place at a well renowned American university, Cornell for next year so she had to move everything out of her room.
It was hard but; Yes,..We made it!  One of the reasons it was hard extra was because I became ill.
I came down with a severe cold and could not swallow anything at all, not to mention talk,....I felt really sick, but hopefully I shall slowly be getting back to my usual self.

I have made a couple of pages but nothing that I can share today.
I would like however, to share a few photos of my peonies that have me completely smitten.
Every June in my garden is the same. They look magnificent!! Just look at this beauty!!

Unfortunately they don't last long,...maybe two weeks at the best :-)

Hope you enjoy your week end!!

*Beautiful* A monochromatic lo in lilac for Papirdesign DT

Hi I'm back with a new layout to share with you today.
The Norwegian title * Vakker* means *Beautiful* in English.
I picked a lot of exquisite lilac coloured papers and embellishments from Papirdesign and even found a gorgeous pearl swirl in just the right colour!! I quite enjoy a monochromatic approach, even if I opted to add a few green leaves as well.

This past weekend I was babysitting my niece and nephew so I didn't get to do a lot of scrapping, but instead I managed to get a few good photos for later projects. This photo is one of the shots.

I just love the design of this purple/lilac paper. I even enjyed myself fussy cutting the trellis pattern.

Look at this beautiful pearl swirl:

Lots of pretty flowers and mini roses here. One of the great things with Papirdesign is they gave so many shades of each colour to choose from!

I love to add some pretty edges with my border punches.

The cute chipboard title comes on a sheet with other 'Family'-themed titles.

A view more from the side: :-)

I hope you love the lilac products as much as I do!
Enjoy all the beautiful Papirdesign products this summer.

Two lovely new collections from Les Papiers de Pandore and a blog hop winner.

Sorry for being such a bad blogger lately!
I have been held back by a faulty, almost non exictent internet connection. Although the truth is I don't know how much I would have been able to share anyway as the first two weeks of June are always super busy! I guess many of you are experiencing the same now with all the kids activities coming to an end with special gatherings to finish off the term at the same time as there are many other demands.
I have been able to check in from time to time on the IPad, but lets be realistic; it is not the best blogging tool...LOL!

Anyway here I am to share the latest two collections from Julie Blanc and Beatrice Garni for Pandore.

The first one is called 'Summer Life'

The second one is called 'ItinĂ©raire Bis'.

I hope and believe you'll like these as much as I do.
I cannot wait to receive my kit, and hopefully all of it will be here by Monday.

Finally I will tell you who is the winner of the Wycinanka
chipboards!!

I used Random.org to choose my winner.

If I don't hear back from the winner by Thursday I will pick a new one.

Cute Cousins for DT Papirdesign.

Hi friends. I thought it was high time for a new post here.
I have been so busy with organizing my DD's graduation I have not had time to be blogging much lately. I will see if I have a few nice photos that I can share with you in a day or two :-) .
But now I am back to share my latest layout. I picked a few favourite Papirdesign supplies and added a few leaves and flowers and this is what I made:

I used my new toy, the Silhouette to make the trellis background. The blue cutouts that I placed inside the 'grid' were from another trellis that I cut out in a slightly smaller size. Waste not want not is a saying and sometimes it's a good one to live by :-) .

I painted a thin layer of gesso uneavenly over my page to tone down the background a little.

I inked around the edges of the pink chipboard hearts to make them a better match to my large rose.

I hope you enjoyed my lo and sorry for making this a short ( ...and sweet ;.) ) post .
Hopefully from Thursday things will slow down and I'll have more time for my fave hobby!
Hugs!!
