One more page with the Scraps of Elegance March kit using the 'Botanical Tea' collection.

The other day I shared the very first page that I ever made using Graphic 45 papers. 

I always think their lines look lovely but up until now I have found them quite difficult to use 

and hard to cut into (because they are so pretty).

With the recent line 'Botanical Tea', however, all those thoughts disappeared. As usual Melinda Kelly of SOE kits have picked an excellent collection of papers and embellishments and the kit, Floral Fantasy, is such a delight to work with! You can see the photos of the kit here and also buy it  HERE.

I fussy cut various elements from the detailed G45 papers and added a few dimensional flowers to go with them. In the flower add on was a large Prima jute flower that I coloured using some paint from a previous kit. I used the Silks 'Pink Grapefruit' paint. 

 In the kit was also a sheet with small diecut file folders and patterned tags to go with them. 

Some of them have sentiments on them like this one that says 'Just because'. 

The large white flower is by Manor House Creations.

 I think the papers here go so well with the sweet picture of our pampered kitten Lady. She has such beautiful green eyes. And also I do love polka dots and these on green are especially cute! 

I raised some of the details with pop dots.

 I used a CraftersWorkshop stencil 'Chicken Wire' size 6x6 for my background and the mini roses are by various, including papirdesign and I am Roses.

Even though it is raining here at the moment there is a distinct promise of Spring in the air. 

The temperature has been slowly rising and today, Saturday, is longer and lighter than yesterday. 

It is so nice to know that the sun 'has turned' as we say here and that hopefully the best is yet to come!

Guest designing at Lillblomman Skissar. Inkido layout.

Hi peeps! Today I have a lovely sketch to share with you and also a layout to go with it. 

A good while ago I was asked by my double team mate Ulrika aka Lillblomman if 

I would like to be the October guest on her sketch blog Lillblomman skissar. 

Those who have been around for a while know that I love me a good sketch so of course I said yes!!

This is the beautiful sketch that Ulrika made just for me! :-)

I used papers from Inkido one of the DT's that Ulrika and I share and they are also this months sponsors.The base paper is called Cartas de Amor, royal red. The rest of the papers are from the ''Beautiful Memories'' collection.

Firstly,...I don't know what makes this lo so hard to photograph, 

I took pictures three days in a row without any improvement and finally ended up sending 

the first set to Ulrika in the end . Personally I think it looks a lot better IRL :-)

I used a mixture of flowers here , both Prima and others from my stash and some mini roses etc from Inkido. The bling stones and the  lovely embroidered sheer ribbon is also from Inkido.

I used Rangers distress ink for my pink bricks and as you can see I put my sewing machine to good use again as well. :-)

There are several round design elements in this sketch and I used my Silhouette to make different corresponding shapes that I added to my page.

I love the delicate and feminne touch that you get from adding liquid pearl in different areas 

of a page. They are such pretty accents.

 I hope you liked my page and feel tempted to try this sketch.

My first page using the new Inkido collection 'Happy Christmas'.

'Liten tomte tittar ut' is the title of this new page and it is about Beatrice wearing her long Santa-hat that we had been looking to buy in so many places before we found it.

I used the latest beautiful collection from Inkido called ''Happy Christmas'' for this page.

 The small chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs, and the large one is from Dusty Attic.

 I made my title using the Silhouette Cameo. It has become such a fun tool to play wth!

I wanted to use the pretty tags on my page and ended up attatching them as an embellishment 

with a large bow.

I just wanted to get this post up before leaving for work this morning. 

I feel there is no need for a lot of words as there are so many pictures, and we all know that a picture says more than a 1000 words :-) LOL!

'You are my Happy' for Papirdesign

Hi, I'm back to share a little something I made recently for Norwegian Papirdesign.
I have been a bit of a slacker during August and have not posted much here on my personal blog:-) .

I picked out an older photo of my youngest and wanted to make a page with fall feling to it. Hopefully we will still have some good Summer-days, but early mornings you can definitely feel a little nip in the air that tells us the seasons will change soon.

I have used a mix of older and newer collections here.

That is one of the many good things about Papirdesign; it all goes together so well :-)

I think you can see that I based my design on this lovely sketch from Cest Maqnifique.

I did not bother so very much that everything would be in the right position as I wanted a more 

carefree feel to the page. Although I did start out using a sketch.

Of course I had to use some of the gorgeous mini roses!!

For my title I used the lovely alphabetsickers in two different colours.

Apart from the roses and stickers I used mainly two sheets of papers and they are:

Hi friends!

  Hi ,...long time no see,...!

Today I'm back to share a layout with you for Inkido and Ulrikas beautiful sketch challenge.
Most of the papers I used are from Inkido's  Beautiful Memories collection.

Here is the page I made:

And here are a couple of close ups for you:

That cute ruffled flower is by Inkido and come in a collection pack called Harmony Flowers (pink).

-I started with two sheets of paper, one forming the border around the dotted paper.

 -I added a layer of gesso. 

-When dry I sprayed some mist on and smeared it out with my fingers. 

-I used a stencil to get the dots.

-On top I placed a sheer layer of organza.

-All the layers were fastened using my sewing machine.

-Then it was time to add the 'crossed' element of the sketch and the matted photo on top.

-VOILA!! Time to embellish!

I would really love to see what you come up  with for the challenge.

A blue page for DT Inkido 'Hello Sunshine'

Hi, I hope you enjoyed looking at my gorgeous peonies in yesterdays post.
It's such a shame they don't last forever....

First a little reminder that today is the last day that the Blogger following gadget will be active.
I decided to follow the example many of my friends and join Bloglovin.

Now I'd like to share my latest page made for my Sunday's post at Inkido

I have done so many pinkish romantic layouts lately that I felt like making a different kind today. Conveniently I had a couple of photos laying on my desk from when my youngest sister and her family was visiting here. So I did a boy page,...( still with flowers mind you ;-) )

I cut out the word Sunshine in my title with the Sihouette Cameo and placed a dark and a light version on top of eachother, but slightly off, to create a shadow effect.

 And here are some shots of the details:

I decided I wanted to try a different combo. Normally I might still have combined the blue with pink or white or something. Instead I decided to use some of those tan coloured leaves and flowers I received in my latest Inkido kit. I think they work pretty well with the boyish blue.


Those cute butterflies that I don't seem to ever get enough of, are cut from an Inkido paper.
They really have so many that are great for fussy cutting if you are into that.
The pretty rosebuds are made by Norwegian brand Papirdesign and they have the most amazing range of colours in their flowers. I love them!!

 The woodgrain in the background was done using a bought mask. 

If you still have not tried let me tell you it is so very easy and you could start trying with a mask that  you make yourself, or maybe a leftover from a chipboard sheet. 

I promise you it is great fun!!

The little chipboard decoration is from Polish Wycinanka. I like the styles they make.


Finally, there is a sprinkling of half pearls in the right hand corner. The three colors come from the same package. I think they look so pretty and add an extra dimension to the page.

''Cabasse Summer'' for Inkido DT

Today I have made a page for you showcasing a couple of photos from our holidays last Summer.

I had a lot of fun using some mixed media techniques on  my layout and getting really messy...

-Not to mention my scrap area... :-)

This goes to show that even though the Inkido papers and embellishments may look vintage or romantic you can still use them to make a project that is a little edgy and even a little black around the edges. This time I used a small stamp from Prima Marketing with a dark brick motive to make the outline. I only used half the stamp and stamped several times.

Most of the paper flowers here are by Inkido and even the half pearls in different shades of blue

and aqua. I used a mask by Prima and some blue paste.

The small butterflies were cut out from Inkido papers. I cut out many at a time and keep them in a small plastic bag to pick from later.

I used a butterfly stamp as well as a text stamp on my white doily shapes. The doilies are two different models from Spellbinders.

For the yellow areas I just dripped a couple of drops of glommermist on the paper and smeared it out here and there with my fingers. I enjoy doing that especially in areas that have been primed with gesso because that softens  effect.



That cool hanging lamp-thingy is really super awesome. It is one of Ingvild Bolme's trinkets.
Simply fabulous!! I thought it went rather well with all the black.
