More Scraps of Elegance 'Delightful' kit using Kaisercraft 'Key to My Heart'.

Before January is finished I'll just hurry up and share a couple more of the pages that I made for Scraps of Elegance kits. The 'Delightful' kit is SOOO full off scrappy goodness!!!
As this was my first month and Christmas as well, I'm later posting this than I would
normally be,...but here goes:

These pages are made with the collection 'Key to My Heart' from Kaisercraft. For this one I used the gorgeous diecut paper from the collection. I cut out the middle part and replaced it with the damask sheet from Echo Park.

I added more flowers to the printed roses in the cornersand used my borderpunches to embellish my page further. I added some butterflies and hearts from the stickersheet.

The second page for today also uses the Kaisercraft papers from the monthly kit but I am focusing more on the blue tones.
I used the 'Silks' paints from the colour add on to paint on my masked gesso.

I cut out the pattern around the edges with my Silhouette cameo.

The sticker sheet from 'Key to My Heart' has a lot of nice words and other designs that come in
very handy.

There is a lot of dimension to my page as you can see.

I just love this picture of my two eldest daughters.
I love most of all that they are such gret friends!

Finally, here you can see how I used the Silks to colour my stencilled dots.

I was going to post all the remaining pages in one post, but I decided that with the close ups it will be too many pictures for one post. I will be back with the rest in a dau or two.

'Tween' for Inkido and a first look at the NEW Inkido collection!!

Hi,I'm ready to share my 2nd Inkido lo for January.
I had this photo laying on my scrap table for a long time waiting to scrap it.I think it is pretty cute. The hands belong to my youngest DD and she was twelve when I took it. When I look at the photo it truly takes me back to what I felt like when I was a young girl, almost a teenager.
It is important to preserve the everyday memories and I wanted to document this.

It was easy to mix quite a few different papers as Inkido has such a comprehensive collection.
Most of the collections mix very well. Makes it easy to create pages that turn out differently just by adding another pattern from our stash.

As always I adore using some fussy cut butterflies on my page.

The beautiful lace you see here is also sold by Inkido. And they have other pretty styles as well.

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today. I hope you liked my page.

Here are some of the products that I used on my page:

Beautiful Memories II -Pink Flowers
Beautiful Memories -Beautiful Pink
Beautiful Memories II -Pink Romance
Beautiful Memories _Butterflies Borders
Mulberry gardenia, purple
Harmony flowers, pink
Lace white, -width 34mm
Valentine _Old Pink Rose

Don't you just love the new papers?!!
You can win one set on our Facebook page!

My introduction to the DT of *Scraps of Elegance* kit club.

Hi there friends.

I know I am not the most active of bloggers lately but today I have a little share for you.

I already told you the great news of me becoming part of the talented linup at *Scraps of Elegance* kit club, and  a couple of days ago my introduction was up on the blog.

They had some nice things to say about me and there are also some fun 'getting to know you' questions

''Getting to Know Bente!

I was so super excited when Bente joined our team!

She is so uber talented and I love her style!!!!!

How long have you been scrapbooking?

I have actually been scrapping for a few years now.
I am not sure how many.., and the first years don't really count anyway as I have hidden away those pages at the back of my wardrobe LOL!
It is only the last three years since I started my blog that I have become more serious in my creating and have evolved as a scrapbook artist.
I started playing around on different challenge sites etc and learned a lot.

What was your favorite subject in school?

When I was a child I enjoyed and was even good at all the subjects at school. I think I enjoyed languages history and geography the most.
I did not like maths so much but still ended up doing economics and statistics at university,....

What's your favorite movie of all time?

There are so many great movies, I cannot say that I have a clear favourite.
Just to mention a few; Local Hero (with Burt Lancaster) , Lorenzo's oil, (with Susan Sarandon) , Nostalghia (by Andrei Tarkovski)
and on a lighter note Something's Gotta Give (with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson)

Aside from food, water, and shelter, what one thing could you not go a day without?

I need my scrapbooking supplies and my computer! From there I could probably do almost anything I want.
(At least it seems like that right now, but who really knows what you will miss the most until you don't have it anymore :-D)

Would you rather have a Margarita or Pina Colada?

Could I have both please,.... I don't really drink very often as I normally have to drive my kids somewhere.
Still you managed to pick my two favourites.
We lived in Mexico for three years and I developed a longlasting love for Margaritas, and apart from these two drinks I love me a good cold Mojito!
Cheers!! So happy to be here at Scraps of Elegance!!
Lets check out one of Bente's outstandingly beautiful layouts:
She Used the gorgeous pink KaiserCraft papers with the stickers, pearlstring and lace.
the layering is perfect!

 The gorgeous clusters!

I love the dimension she achieved
Check back in the next few days for more of Bentes gorgeous work! ''

I used Kaisercraft *Key to my hear*t collection on this page and on a few more that
I will share in my next SOE post here on my blog together with pictures of the
gorgeous January kit *Delightful* and add ons.

Thanks for dropping by today!!

'She's Got the Look' for Inkido

 Hi there!

Nice to see you here!.
I am delighted to tell those of you who have not already heard, that I have been invited back on the Inkido team for a new term and get to work with all the awesome new girls as well as some of my old DT friends.  Actually, at least four of them are my friends on other DT's as well, so that is quite fun! Happy tidings!!

This page was made with inspiration from the mood board for the Inkido January challenge HERE. Go check it out. I was inspired by the light Scandinavian colours and the flowers among other things. What will inspire you?....

I have made so many cards and pages with the beautiful Winter collection from Papercraft Scandinavia; 'Happy Christmas', that when I was sent some different papers for my kit this time I used some immediately. This page was made mainly with 'Beautiful Memories'.(I will add the names of the different papers at the end :-) )

Inkido have some lovely mini roses and other flowers as well as these pretty pink chrystals that I like to add here and there on  my pages.
They come in a multitude of pretty jewelcolours.

The chipboards here are mainly from Australian based Imaginarium Design and has been treated with some paint and a lick of gesso. The white 'brick wall' is chipboard by Wycinanka from Poland. As always there is a lot of layering and stitching on my page . That pretty white lace was also in my DT kit from Inkido.

I adore the whimsy look added by the butterflies strewn all over my page. They are cut from various of the patterned papers and there are many different ones.

A closer look at the stitching that I painted over with gesso.

That was my share for today! I hope you enjoyed it and can take some inspiration
from it. At least let me tell you I had a lot of fun putting it together!

Beautiful Memories:
Butterflies Borders
Blue Flowers

''Love Winter, Love the Birds''

 Hi friends!
Today I have a page for you that I actually made with the latest Summer release from
Les Papiers de Pandore. Just have a peek and see that they are great for this coming season too.
I love the subtle colours here. I made this page a couple of months ago but as it was published in PaperHaus Magazine I had to wait for a while before sharing it on my blog.

I cut some stars from the yellow houndstooth paper and added some gorgeous glitter chipboards from Papirdesign.  They are simply beautiful!!

Once again I had a lot of fun cutting out a few things with my Silhouette cameo. I think it is a great tool, but I seem to go through the mats at high speed...

As always (or almost) I used my sewing machine to stitch around most of my pieces.

The cute flowers that are such a great colour to these papers are also made by Papirdesign and
brand new for this season.

Finally a close up of my title that I stitched to the background paper. And alphabetstickers once again from papirdesign. They do these in lots of different colours and with the scandinavian letters that cannot be found with other brands.

Thanks for looking and welcome back soon again!
Hugs!!

A Cold Day in Stockholm for Papirdesign.

Hi there!

I hope you all finally got a little snow and cold to enjoy ,and also to take some new snow photos for your pages. I know in some parts of the world the cold has been much more than usual this year,...-but not here.We got the first snow yesterday, but this morning it is already almost gone.

Sice we haven't had much Winter so far I decided to scrap some photos from our trip to Stockholm last year.

I used a pearlpen to make small dots on each of the snowflakes on the
patterned paper. I love how it turned out.

I cut the word 'love' with my Silhouette Cameo and combined it with some of the wonderful letterstickers from PD that come in soo many colours. I am still so impressed there is someonewho makes alphas for us Scandinavians with all the special vowels that we need!! Go go Papirdesign!!
Some of the Papirdesign products I used are:

Mini roses various colours
Chipboard stars
Half pearls-blue
Alphabetstickers -red, light blue
Julehilsen- Vinterstemning
Julehilseen-Bark
Mens vi venter-Julesopp

Thanks for visiting!

''My Girls'' made for Papirdesign and PaperHaus Magazine Christmas Issue.

Hi! Today I just have a quick share of my page for the colour combo in the Winter/Christmas issue of the popular online magazine PaperHaus.

Some lovely festive colours in the traditional hues this time.

Here is what I made:

I used a lot of goodies from Papirdesign, a wonderful brand from Norway, on this page.
The papers are from the latest Christmas collection called 'Julehilsen' (i.e. 'Christmas Greetings')
And so are most of the other elements on the page. Papirdesign have a large array of paper floweers to complement any page.

Here you can see some of the dimension of my page.
I am afraid the weather is utterly dreary outside and I have not been able to get a good shot. I promise this actually looks so much better IRL!

The picture was taken a few years back and its kind of fun to see how different the girls look, especially the eldest one :-)

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the frames and doilies I have used here.
I actually layered two frames on top of eachother for a special effect.
I like how it turned out!

I hope you enjoyed some  Christmas-inspiration today.
I guess by now we'll all have lots of brand new sparkly  photos from this recent holiday to scrap.
I am so looking forward to seeing lots of beautiful pages all over the internet!!

Hi there and welcome to our first bloghop of the 2014 Inkido design team.
We are hopping not just because it's fun but also so we can all get to know eachother a little better.
First of all I have a photo with all the pretty faces on the team. And as you can see there are quite a few of us!

You should have arrived here from from the lovely Anita Nosova's blog

Our bloghop will take place from January 2nd until  January 4rd.
I am ecxcited to tell you about the great prizes we have for three lucky participants.

We have a full new collection, (so new we cannot share a picture of it yet!...),
we have a set for vintage cardmakers

....and last but not least we have a suprise!!
You can pick 12 papers from any collectionbut the latest (which is another prize).

We ask our participants to look for secret words inside out hop posts. Not every designer's post will have one. With all the words you find you will make a sentence. Do not write it in the comments section because then we loose some of the fun. Please write an email to:
marketing@papercraftscandinavia.com

We would also like you to leave a comment on the different blogposts and hopefully you would like to become folloowers of our blogs as well!
My secret word will be at the bottom of this post.

Three things you did not know about me,...or maybe you did LOL!

1.I was actually born in Norway but have lived more than half my life in Sweden.
I still feel very Norwegian though and have a lot of family left there.
2. I am crazy about watching sports. I love all the Nordic wintersports and am planning
to spend February on the couch in front of the telly watching the Sotchi olympics.
3. I love the arts and enjoy  musicals and the opera. Last year I was able to go see
Placido Domingo even though it cost me an arm and a leg,...LOL!

Another thing I can tell you is that my scrapspace is a total mess right now. At the moment I can hardly find enough space even for a 12x12 paper,....I know what I'll be doing tomorrow LOL!!
Just look at my table!!

Here is the whole hopping order for the Inkido team:

Bente Fagerberg ------You are here
Don't forget to send an email with the secret sentence.
MY SECRET WORD IS: IMPORTANT
Your next stop on the hop is the delightful Cathrine.
