''My Girls'' made for Papirdesign and PaperHaus Magazine Christmas Issue.

Hi! Today I just have a quick share of my page for the colour combo in the Winter/Christmas issue of the popular online magazine PaperHaus.

Some lovely festive colours in the traditional hues this time.

Here is what I made:

I used a lot of goodies from Papirdesign, a wonderful brand from Norway, on this page.
The papers are from the latest Christmas collection called 'Julehilsen' (i.e. 'Christmas Greetings')
And so are most of the other elements on the page. Papirdesign have a large array of paper floweers to complement any page.

Here you can see some of the dimension of my page.
I am afraid the weather is utterly dreary outside and I have not been able to get a good shot. I promise this actually looks so much better IRL!

The picture was taken a few years back and its kind of fun to see how different the girls look, especially the eldest one :-)

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the frames and doilies I have used here.
I actually layered two frames on top of eachother for a special effect.
I like how it turned out!

I hope you enjoyed some  Christmas-inspiration today.
I guess by now we'll all have lots of brand new sparkly  photos from this recent holiday to scrap.
I am so looking forward to seeing lots of beautiful pages all over the internet!!

Getting in the advent spirit with this page.

Hi,it's me Bente here to share one of my latest pages for Inkido.

I hope to find you relaxed and well and enjoying your weekend.
Unfortunately this will be a rather short and sweet post as my regular Internet is down and I find myself writing my post on my mobile phone for the first time....

Ok, here is my layout, and I am
sorry I have not been able to edit my photos much.....

I used the lovely 'Happy Christmas' for this and added quite a few inkido flowers to embellish.

Here are a couple of close ups too:

I took a few pictures of my creative process but those are on my DSLR and I cannot get them transferred just now,but maybe I can add them as soon as I get my connection back. :-)
I very much enjoyed stencilling with the gold medium and also making the stars with gesso.

The burgundy geraniums match this collection beautifully.

I used the olive package of Harmony flowers. I just love that dark green glittered bloom. Soo lush!

I made the sweet green vine wreath by cutting the pretty green music paper of the Happy Christmas collection with my Silhouette Cameo. The Santa tag was also cut from one of the patterned papers.

Again, sorry for the 'crappy' photos!
Hope to see you soon again!!

Projects I did for the Summer issue of PaperHaus Magazine.

I have a lo and a card to share with you that I made for the PaperHaus Magazine, Summer Issue.
It was made as an example for the PaperHues section.
I'll admit I actually found the colours quite hard to combine. At first I made a pure mixed media layout but didn't like the way it turned out. You could say it was 'too much mix and not enough media'. I tore it to shreds and was honestly a bit worried I would miss the deadline with just a day or so to go.... But I managed.... :-)

And here are a few close ups:

And I had a card in the CardHaus section prepared after the latest sketch:

I am just  a couple of weeks from the deadline for the next PaperHaus magazine which will be in celebration of our first birthday! I am certainly going to be busy this coming week!

A published lo to share. :-)

Hi it's me again!
Today I found this among some older photos I was looking on my computer today.
I had almost forgotten about it :-)

This layout was published in the previous issue of Swedish scrapbook magazine Inzpira.
I was delighted to be included in the mag as I am not one to send in applications very often.
I think this was only my second time.
( I tried once with a lo for Scrapbook Trends, even if I knew my style was not theirs,... :-) )
I made this one for  musical theme and also after a sketch in that issue.

Here are a few close ups:

I cut the leaves from gold cardstock and also added some gold paint here and there on my page.
I white-washed the little frame for my title with gesso and smeared on a little gold to give it a more vintage look.

I used a mask with gesso to build up the background and I also added a small dash of pink mist
as well as gold arrows. The red chevrons and the teal strips are washi tapes.

Finally, a closer inspection of my 'edge-ruffles' if I may call them that.
I cut several strips and work on each one of them to achieve this distressed look.

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for your kind messages!
Hugs!
