My very first post for Blue Fern Studios.

Hello there!

Today I am delighted to share my very first post on the Blue Fern Studios blog!

This is what I made:

Here I used the Roman Clock set and the Arrow Words set.
To add colour to the pieces and create a coherent look I coloured the pieces with an ink chalker.

I love the feminine look created by lifting and layering a piece of the pretty Montage paper.

My next page features the youngest members of the family.
-My DD and Lady, the royal princess of our house :-)

Again I used the beautifully decorated papers from the Montage collection.
The large frame is called Shabby Layered Frame.
In the corners you can see some Tattered Diamond bits.

I love these pictures that I took a while back.
I love the look of the enamel dots on the black painted frame.

Finally to round off this post I created a couple of cards using the lovely Sanctuary collection.

I used the pretty Roman Clock set and the Arrow words  here as well.

On this card is also a small piece from the Ironwork Accents set.

Products used: Papers from the Montage collection and the Sanctuary collection, Roman Clock set, Arrow Words set, Shabby Layered frame, Tattered Diamond bits, Ironwork Accents.

I hope you liked my first creations as a DT member for Blue Fern Studios.
Thanks for looking!

Two pages and a card for Lemoncraft

Hello again.
I am so glad to be back to share some projects with you.

First I have two pages that I made in the mixed media style.
I used the 'Forget Me Not' collection and the 'Just Love Me' collection as well.

Here is the mainly 'blue' page I made:

I used some dies to make the round shapes and added some fussy cut elements from the A4 sheets.

I also made a page in mostly pink tones:

I used a stencil and a mix of mists and paints here. The title is 'Technical Cousins and you can see they are all playing with their phones and electrical games, even at a young age :-)

Finally I have a card that I made for the Sizzix blog using beautiful Lemoncraft products from the 'House of Roses' collection.

Thank you for looking!

Decorated card and cupcake for a birthday celebration for Sizzix/Papirdesign

Looksie what I found,....
A couple of posts that I prepared but never got round to publishing.
This one was combining Sizzix dies and Papirdesign papers.
I must say I am very partial to the purple!!

The die I used is the Tattered florals die by Tim Holtz and I think it is probably the die that has been sold most of all.... And if it wasn't, at least I think it should find a home with all of you!!

'Grattis' is Swedish for Congratulations. I used the small rosette die to make the little holder for the mini cupcake as well as for the little decoration on a tooth pick.

The green leaves were made using the Tattered leaves die, also by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.
I used a needle to scratch into them to make them look more natural.

Thanks for looking! Hugs!

New collection Urbex, Happy Mail from Pandore, and a caaaandy!

Hi there all you creative people!
Did you miss me,..?
I am finally back to the world of the living after a few horrendous weeks of packing my home of 20 years into crates and boxes. (Unfortunately I still do not have an internet connection installed.)
I was not very happy over the fact that  my beautiful home would be sold and someone else would be living there, but now that it's finally over and I have come to terms with the fact it is actually kind of a relief,.... But,...divorce sucks,...in every possible way!!

On a happier note I would like to share the news of a new beautiful collection and a candy from
Les Papiers de Pandore. Julie Blanc has done it again and her limited edition 'Urbex' kit is just as gorgeous and well designed as her previous lines.

For a chance to win the Urbex Happy Mail you must comment on this post on the Pandore blog or on Facebook.

This is what she had to say about her kits:

''Et voilà le moment que vous attendiez toutes... celui de pouvoir hurler, vous aussi en ouvrant votre boîte : "happy mail" !!! (clin d’œil aux scrappeuses de Facebook !)

En bonus, je vous offre également la fiche technique d'un de mes "classiques" préférés, le home déco qui contient un mini-mini appareil photo, car il est tellement dans le thème de ces papiers que je ne pouvais pas passer à côté :)

January sketch at Blue Fern Studios.

Just popping in today for a quick share between driving back and forth and moving furniture.
I wanted you all to see the lovely new sketch for January over at the Blue Fern Studios blog.
I promise I'll be a good blogger again after the week end :-)

''Welcome to January and a brand new year!  We are going to start the year with a new sketch challenge.  Each month we bring you a new sketch, designed for Blue Fern Studios by Michele Singh.  You have the entire month to create and upload a project using the sketch.

Here is this month's sketch:

One lucky winner, selected by a random draw, will receive a prize package of Blue Fern Studios chipboard!

In addition, we will also select 3 layouts to feature.
We have just a few simple rules to follow if you would like to participate in our sketch challenge:

1.) Feel free to interpret the sketch as you please by means of taking it as-is or
flipping/turning/mirroring it to suit your needs!

2). Please note that you can do whatever type of project you please- a layout, card,
canvas, altered item- whatever suits your mood and style!
We would love to see the different ways our sketch can be used.

3.) You must use at least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard OR use Blue Fern Studios paper on your project. Please note that you do not need to use the pieces featured in the sketch
- use whatever suits your fancy! You can find the store nearest you HERE.
 {Do not use any other brand of chipboard on your project please!}

4.) Upload your project using the Inlinkz tool below by midnight EST on January 31, 2015

We look forward to your entries!''

On the Blue Fern Blog HERE you can see some beautiful examples from the DT as well as link up
