A page for Blue Fern Studios November sketch challenge.

Hi there!
Today is the day the new sketch is revealed on the Blue Fern Studios blog and I want to share that with you here as well to make sure you dont miss it :-) It truly is a great looking sketch!!

Don't you agree?

And here is my page using the new Vintage Christmas collection so full of gorgeous design and Christmas cheer. I used Deck the Halls, Noel, and Greeting Cards

I love how the large piece of chipboard in the back mimics the crown on my daughters head. I actually thought of this photo of her the moment I saw the sketch. Here in Sweden we celebrate
St. Lucia on December 13th  and it's kind of a festival of light and our family go to church to listen to our youth choir sing beautiful seasonal songs. It's very special.
Last year Beatrice was picked to be Lucia and she was so happy about it!!

I wanted to keep the colouring quite simple and traditional for this page so I added decorations in red white and green mainly, as well as some hemp string.

I painted the large chipboard piece, and piece de resistance, with an acrylic paint in a golden colour.
The magnificent piece of chipboard is called French Ironwork. When dry I stamped it with the Essential Textures stamp and also embossed the pattern with the Petal embossingpowder.
I even used the stamp on my background. The other stamp set I used was Parisian Ironwork.

I cut the caption 'Christmas Joy' from the Greeting Cards paper.

To get some flowers that would match perfectly I decided to pull out my diecut machine and make some from scrach. I added pop dots between the layers to make the flowers more realistic.
I inked around the outlines of the pieces to make them stand out more.
I used red dimensional Thickers with glitter for my title.

I hope you enjoyed my first seasonal page of the year!!

A flowery shabby page for Scraps of Elegance kits using 7 Dots Studio.

Did you see the gorgeous June kit from Scraps of Elegance?
It's called 'Timeless' and is so full of beautiful papers and embellishments from some awesome brands.
You can see a photo of the kit a couple of posts down.

Here is one of the pages I made:

I used Nature Walk from 7 Dots Studio for this page and really had a lot of fun making it! And I also shared this page on the Sizzix UK blog for my weekly Sunday post. It uses some great dies too!

I enjoyed very much the process of adding bits and pieces continously and had I not decided enough is enough, I might be adding to it still......

I love how all these colours look together.
The background teal colour was achieved mixing two different mists with gesso.

I used my trusted Tattered Florals Bigz die for the pink handmade flowers and also the Frameworks Trellis dies. Lots of mixed media goodness on this page and let me tell you I had sooo much fun creating it. The little dots are made with Rangers Liquid pearls colour Bisque.

That's all for now!1 I hope you liked my latest page. Hopefully you saw something that will inspire you to try something new on your next page!

Hugs!

A Milan Moment.

Hello again.Time to share my latest creation for Inkido!
I made a new page using the Beautiful Memories collection.

The picture is from a trip we made to wonderful Milan a few years back taken in front of the impressing Milan Cathedral. It was really a business trip but we managed to bring our daughters with us to spend some time with them there. There are so many beautiful things to see around the Piazza and so many great coffees to be had :-) And probably Europe's most expensive ice cream on Piazza del Duomo

This is the view from the cafe right oposite the majestic Cathedral.

And here are some close ups of my page for you:

I made some different flowers using my favourite Sizzix flower die and one of the pretty Inkido papers.

I used my border punches to give the papers  and layers an even more feminine expression.

Here you can see how well these papers go together. The colours are so soft and gorgeous.
I used a metal 'Junkyard Findings' by Ingvild Bolme called 'Antique Garden Sink', as well as some
beautiful Prima flowers.

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for looking. I hope you like my Milan page :-)

Handmade flowers and a mix of Inkido collections.

I hope you are all well and that you have gotten a lot of lovely pages or cards scrapped lately. This is my most recent page made using Inkido supplies. Actually,Inkido has a beautiful new collection out called Spring Time, and you can see it HERE.
But today I have a page to share that uses a combination of older collections.

I layered quite a few beautiful patterned papers here and used my sewing machine to add decorative stitching and my punches for a cute border effect. The pretty vintage crochet lace add to the romantic feel of the page.

I used an awesome die by Sizzix called Tattered florals to make the larger flowers. I die cut the different parts from a patterned paper belonging to the X-mas collection. After spraying them with white mist to tone down the pattern there is nothing X-mas about them!! :-)

The Inkido papers have many gorgeous butterfly designs and I love to use fussy cut butterflies on my pages. The trellies pattern is also made using a Sizzix Frameworks die.

I had a beautiful chipboard ring once,...but alas I managed to break it in two,... Here I found a way to put it to good use. :-) I also added some ink drips and splatters for an extra effect.
That was all for today! I hope you enjoyed it.

Enjoy life!
