'My Beautiful Girl' for Inkido/Sizzix

Today I have a sweet page to share that I made for both the Sizzix and Inkido design teams. The pictures were taken the other evening at the nearest beach and I decided to convert them to black and white. I love working with black and white photos because they blend in so well with the coloured papers and embellishments. They match with everything!

I primed my 'Beautiful Memories' paper with gesso and a little mist using a stencil as well for added texture.

I cut two large circles using decorative scissors and stitched them to my paper. With a paintbrush I added gesso diluted with water to tone down the background music pattern. It could esily look very busy. I cut and embossed a smaller circle and used it as a mat for my two photos.

I made these gorgeous flowers in two sizes with the Tattered Florals die set that I love. It is just soo good for when you need some flowers to tone in with your papers.

I made my flower clusters tying in a swirly chipboard piece and also a light blue lace ribbon rosette.

I fussy cut some pretty butterflies from a matching patterned paper using the Susan's Garden Tool Kit which has become one of my absolute favourites to use when I craft.
All the tools in the kit are really very useful!

I love the texture added by the sweet handmade blooms made with Inkido papers.
-And being the same collection they are a perfect match!

Here you can see I layered different mediums too.
-Diluted gesso, modeling paste through a stencil and Prima Color Bloom mist.

I used these Sizzix products for my page:
Sizzix Big Shot starter kit (Powder Blue and Teal)
Sizzix Accessories Susan's Garden's Tool Kit
Sizzix Bigz Die, Tattered Florals
Life Made Simple, Sizzix thinlits basic set (I used the small heart)

Patterned papers: Inkido Beautiful Memories, Spring Time
Mini roses: Papirdesign
Lace: Papirdesign
Other flowers Prima, Petaloo

Thanks for visiting and hopefully you'll take some inspiration with you when you leave :-) !
Hugs!

New palette at HeArt & Soul Artists.

Today is when the new palette is revealed at HeArt & Soul Artists (ex The Color Room/Scrap for Help). It's a beautiful monochrome combination in greens and I think it looks perfectly lovely!

You are required to use a specific household item for each challenge and this time that item is some kind of fabric. I have used cheese cloth and also fabric flowers (white lace ones).

Here is my page:

I used paper by Prima Marketing from an older pad with lots of ledger papers.
I found some nice greens in there that suited the palette well. I used one sheet for making pretty layered 'Tattered florals' with my Sizzix dies and also added some lovely mini roses by Papirdesign.

I used a mask by Crafers Workshop together with some mist and a sponge to make the honeycombe pattern, and also some gesso for the background.

I think the Say it in Chrystals Self Adhesive jewel art looks so lovely and adds such a pretty sheen to the page. These in green tones are from the Seashore collection.

Dont forget to go join in on the challenge.
Head on over to The Color Room blog. You have 1 month to do your project and load it into the My Linky Tool in the sidebar. Thank you for stopping by to take a look. The sweet little butterfly is a stamp from Inkido/ PapercraftScandinavia.

My Sunday post for Sizzix in mixed media style

Hi, as usual on a Sunday afternoon (European time) I am ready to share my weekly project on the Sizzix blog. This time I have a mixed media project but unfortunately I did not manage to make the paints and mists show up properly in the photos. It is more colourful IRL....

Here is a list of the dies I used:
The link below will take you to the full post with closeups and all!
Thanks for looking, and for any comments you might leave me over there.
Greatly appreciated!! :-)

And here is another one from the kit!!:

This time I focused on all the delightful Prima Marketing products in the kit. They really helped
make this my favourite kit ever! I got almost the complete Prima Seashore collection including loads of  embellishments!

Also on this page I used my favourite die to make some of the gorgeoous flowers.

Sizzix Bigz die tattered Florals

I diecut a heart from the photo and used it as an embellishment.

The third and last page for now:

Also using the Prima Seashore collection for this one. I had a lot of fun with my punches creating an impression of waves on this page.

They say that a picture says more than a thousand words, so considering the amount of photos here I will keep it short and just wish you a lovely day!!

Handmade flowers and a mix of Inkido collections.

I hope you are all well and that you have gotten a lot of lovely pages or cards scrapped lately. This is my most recent page made using Inkido supplies. Actually,Inkido has a beautiful new collection out called Spring Time, and you can see it HERE.
But today I have a page to share that uses a combination of older collections.

I layered quite a few beautiful patterned papers here and used my sewing machine to add decorative stitching and my punches for a cute border effect. The pretty vintage crochet lace add to the romantic feel of the page.

I used an awesome die by Sizzix called Tattered florals to make the larger flowers. I die cut the different parts from a patterned paper belonging to the X-mas collection. After spraying them with white mist to tone down the pattern there is nothing X-mas about them!! :-)

The Inkido papers have many gorgeous butterfly designs and I love to use fussy cut butterflies on my pages. The trellies pattern is also made using a Sizzix Frameworks die.

I had a beautiful chipboard ring once,...but alas I managed to break it in two,... Here I found a way to put it to good use. :-) I also added some ink drips and splatters for an extra effect.
That was all for today! I hope you enjoyed it.

Enjoy life!

Inkido papers used:
Forever Collection, No 5
Happy Christmas, Christmas Carol
Beautiful Memories, Pink Flowers.
Beautiful Memories Pink memories
Spring Time, Roses of Romance

An altered project for my Sunday post at Sizzix UK.

Today for my Sunday project at the Sizzix UK blog I made an altered item. I don't do altered often, but must say I utterly enjoyed it. There is something very satisfying in decorating something and putting it to good use, when you would normally just throw it away!!

My final pages using Scraps of Elegance April kit.

Ok so another month has come to an end and I will share my last page with the SOE lit 'Flutter'
and also reveal the two pages that you so far only saw sneaks of here on my blog.
(These have been shown at SOE and also on the Sizzix UK blog before.)

Link to Scraps of Elegance HERE.

Alright,.....here we go! (There will be lots of pictures so I'll keep the words to a minimum!)

The first page uses a lot of BoBunny 'Primrose'

I also used the Sizzix die 657177 Mini paper rosettes here.
It is a fun die to use on all kinds of projects!

 Flowers are Prima and Petaloo.

The next pages were both done for the Sizzix UK blog and of course also using the awesome kit from Scraps of Elegance.

You can see the first of these two HERE to read all about the Sizzix products I have used.

The Flutter kit from Scraps of Elegance is one of my faves so far. So full of great embellies too!

The following one was posted on the Sizzix blog just this Sunday and you can see the post HERE
to find out what dies I have used.
I love this photo of my sister and our cute nephew who will be four just now. He is a ray of sunshine!

I used the Tattered florals die here for the first time, and I must say I am totally SOLD on it!
It is so fun to use and turns out so beautifully! These flowers were made using one of
the patterned papers from Bo Bunny in the kit.

I also love the daisy flowers that I have used on here. They are acytually a present from my sister who is in the photo and some of her favourites, too.

That's all for now. Cudos to you if you had the stamina to see this post to the end......
Now this Labour Day is also soon to an end, but the weekend is coming soon, so at least we have
that to look forward too. :-)
Hugs!!
