Guesting at CSI for casefile #95 *True Love' for Inkido

Hi!
This is the page I made for the reveal at Colour Stories Inspiration or CSI for short.
Inkido is one of the sponsors and the designteam was invited to take part in the fun!
This is the page I made:

And here is the mood board etc for the challenge:

Loved the pretty colours this week (...again :-) ).
My page turned out almost monchromatic, which I quite liked.

For evidence I picked:
paint, flowers, book pages, and tearing(of the book pages at the back).

And I picked this prompt for my testimony:
'Study your photo and write your journaling as a series of details you notice in the picture'.

Hope you like it!!

Lots of stitching on my page as always.
The bling is from the large Inkido sheets with three shades of each colour.

I used the smallest butterfly stamp from Inkido for the fluttering beauties on here :-)

The lucky winner of this challenge will get the new Christmas collection from Inkido!

I used a mix of old and new on this page just to get the colours och the combo right.
I used

'Beautiful Memories 2' Blue Flowers, Blue labels
 'Springtime'- Butterflies in the sky.
 Blue chrystals and pearls
Butterfly stamp.

U & I for Inkido

Just a quick post today to share my latest page for Inkido.
I actually made this for a C'est Magnifique sketch challenge but there was never the right opportunity to post it..... I used the lovely collction 'Beautiful Memories'.

As always I have some closies for you as well. Most of these gorgeous blooms  and pins are by Inkido. And the sweet little butterflies are fussycut from an Inkido patterned paper as well.
And for the round doily shape I used my Cameo.

Here is a closeup of the cute photos of B and me.
They were taken by my talented sister on our previous trip to Norway.

I added some touches here with liquid pearls, and as you can see I had some fun with gesso building up the background.....Even if I covered up most of it in the end .-)

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you enjoyed my page!

New collections from Les Papiers de Pandore

One of the better things to happen in Autumn is the debut of the new Pandore collections.
The owner Julie Blanc is such a mega-talented lady and together with her creative side-kick BĂ©atrice Garni she has wowed me once again with two delightful collections. As always the papers have a thick fabulous quality to them and a design equal or above that of the the common US brands!
They are a delight to work with!!

First up is *Crochetin'* a collection in warm cozy hues dedicated to
cooconing and 'do it yourself'. It's beautiful don't you think?
At least it makes me want to whip out my knitting-needles!

The second collection is of a more frosty kind and bears the name *Winter Memories*
It has an artistic atmosphere inspired by watercolour paper and could be said to have the printed aspect of canvas. This collection has somany lovely detailsadded to it.
Doesn't that tiny bird just melt your heart?

If you leave a comment on the right post HERE on the Pandore blog you could be the lucky winner of these collections.

And to round things off I just want to tell you that Inkido will soon have a new DT call.
So get ready if you would like to join this fun team!!

'Carpe Diem', for Papirdesign

Once again I enjoyed pulling out my collection of lovely papers from Papirdesign to make a page for my regular post there. I had some photos taken last Summer that went very well with that rose paper.

I incorporated into my design some tags made from other patterned paper and also cut out a doily with my Silhouette Cameo. I cut the doily in two and used both above and underneath my photo.

I used lots of the Papirdesign mini roses in my clusters. I just love them!
Actually everything on this layout was made by Papirdesign except for two of the flowers.
Have you noticed the dainty blue gardenia flower in the lower right hand corner? It is a new style for PD and they come in a lot of different pretty colours.

Love the bling swirl too. Papirdesign have awesome swirls and they are so huge you can divide and use them on several projects. This time I kept the backing foil and just cut around the bling. I like the effect it creates and I find it adds more texture.

Lately I go through a lot of thread on my sewing-machine LOL! I do a lot of stitching and so even on this page. It actually takes quite a bit of time but I like the look.

Thanks for dropping by to check out my page!

'I Adore You', guest designer at CSI.

Hi there friends! Just a quick post today before I'm off to work. I realized I am not blogging
enough and I have a few pages waiting to be shared here.

Inkido is sponsoring Color Stories Inspiration this month so it was quite fun to pick out some feminine  Inkido papers for the current challenge. Last year I had the honour of being a Special Agent at CSI and I am very happy to be guesting at CSI again! I always have a lot of fun looking for elements to use on my page for testimony and evidence.
I am a bit sad though that I so rarely get the time to play on challenge sites anymore.

Here is the prompt for the current challenge (#92)

I knew I felt inspired by the velvet 'bookmarks' in the photo and I think I actually ended up using most of the evidence including:

rhinestones
pearls
book pages
ribbon
something that dangles
charms
silhouette/cameo
lace
cabochon flowers
hearts.

For testimony I chose:

Journal on a library card.
Tuck your journaling between layers so that some of it shows.

I like the look of the Inkido stick pins in my flowercluster.
They come on a plastic wheel that has many different colours in one.

To add more of a feminine touch I decided to use a narrow ribbon to weave between my
'bookmarks'. With the  bling and cute pearl hearts I think the end-result is actually quite cute.

That's all for now. Hope you will be back in a couple of days when I have a new page for Papirdesign to share.
Thanks for the lovely comments you leave me. I love reading them!

Hugs!!

Papirdesign October challenge 'Charmtroll' ...And some bragging :-)

Hi there,.... have you checked out the Papirdesign blog lately. At the beginning of each new month we present you with our monthly challenge. This month the challenge is to use chevrons on your page. The new collection include a few great looking chevron papers!

I decided to scrap these cute photos of my young nephew. I think it's ok to use a few flowers on my page when the boys are as little as this one ;-)

For  my chevrons I used a paterned paper that has diagonal stripes. To make the chevrons I cut the paper into four squares and then divided the smaller squares diagonally. By turning the papers I was left with chevrons in these great colours. Such an easy trick!!
I'll remember to take a picture next time!

The flowers and the yellow chipboard title are by Papirdesign.
The 'naked' chevrons/arrows were cut from a chipboard-backing I had saved and I just
love the texture they add.

The title 'Charmtroll' means something like 'Charmer' and the stickers are made by Papirdesign.
These are so great because they have all the special letters that we have in our Nordic languages that we miss using the imported alphabets. They come in a wide variety of colours as well!

Ok, so I hope you enjoyed my more masculine page and that you will consider taking part in our October challenge at Papirdesign.

You can see the beautiful projects created by my DT friends HERE.
Finally I would like to share the good news that my recent page was well received at
Life. Paper. Scrapbook.

Guest designing at Lillblomman Skissar. Inkido layout.

Hi peeps! Today I have a lovely sketch to share with you and also a layout to go with it.
A good while ago I was asked by my double team mate Ulrika aka Lillblomman if
I would like to be the October guest on her sketch blog Lillblomman skissar

Those who have been around for a while know that I love me a good sketch so of course I said yes!!

This is the beautiful sketch that Ulrika made just for me! :-)

I used papers from Inkido one of the DT's that Ulrika and I share and they are also this months sponsors. The base paper is called Cartas de Amor, royal red. The rest of the papers are from the ''Beautiful Memories'' collection.
Firstly,...I don't know what makes this lo so hard to photograph,
I took pictures three days in a row without any improvement and finally ended up sending
the first set to Ulrika in the end . Personally I think it looks a lot better IRL :-)

I used a mixture of flowers here , both Prima and others from my stash and some mini roses etc from Inkido. The bling stones and the  lovely embroidered sheer ribbon is also from Inkido.

I used Rangers distress ink for my pink bricks and as you can see I put my sewing machine to good use again as well. :-)

There are several round design elements in this sketch and I used my Silhouette to make different corresponding shapes that I added to my page.

I love the delicate and feminne touch that you get from adding liquid pearl in different areas
of a page. They are such pretty accents.

I hope you liked my page and feel tempted to try this sketch.

You have got the whole month to join in and I would be delighted to see you there.
The lucky winner will receive the new lovely new Christmas collection from the sponsor:

called ''Happy Christmas''and a meter of glorious lace.

Hugs!! :-)
