Christmas card with St. Nick for Sizzix and a christmas wish list for November challenge at Papirdesign,

Don't you just love this Santa image!!

I think it's the epitome of Christmas symbols. It's a new Tim Holtz Bigz die and so fun to work with.

Lets start with the background,... I used a bought cardbase thet was 15 cm square. I cut out a 14 cm square piece of subtly patterned cardstock. To add some more interest to my simple background I wanted to emboss this piece. It was actually to large for my embossing folder, but being a bit careful I placed the bit thet had not been embossed in the folder and embossed again. It turned out quite pretty.

After cutting out he pieces for the Santa I used two different shades of chalk inkers to add some depth to them.

I backed my embossed piece with some red cardstock to pull it all together and added a small snowflake as an extra accent. I inked the snowflake carefully embellished it with a half pearl and some liguid pearl medium.

I hope you like this Santa as much as I do.
It's a Bigz die and to me that is always an added bonus!!

Take care!!

I used these dies:

And finally a shot of what I made for the

We have a new challenge on  the Papirdesign blog lasting no less than two months.
Here is what we say about it:

**It is finally Summer, and we have two moodboards for you for our Summer challenge. Interpret them as you like. You can be inspired by the colors, the pictures, memories or what you like. It would be nice if you tell us what inspired you when you make your project. We have an awesome price for you, that you can win if you use products from Papirdesign. You are of course free to join in anyway;-). No back linking please. Here are the moodboards and what inspired us:**

And here's mood board number two:

I created my card using mood board number one. This is what card number one looks like:

And a couple of close ups:

Apart from the awesome Papirdesign product I used some pretty amazing dies from Sizzix.

Tattered Florals
Sizzix framelits set, ovals

I used:
Forventning- En Rose til Jubilanten

My card number two was made for a different post on the Papirdesign blog and not for the mood board challenge. It's a birthdaycard for a friend. 'Grattis' actually means 'congratulations' in Swedish.

The large flower is a handmade one using Papirdesign papers and the other flowers are the usual PD beauties. I misted the handmade flower to blendit  in with my colourscheme .

I use liquid pearls around the edge to enhance the feminine feel to the card.

Papirdesign October challenge 'Charmtroll' ...And some bragging :-)

Hi there,.... have you checked out the Papirdesign blog lately. At the beginning of each new month we present you with our monthly challenge. This month the challenge is to use chevrons on your page. The new collection include a few great looking chevron papers!

I decided to scrap these cute photos of my young nephew. I think it's ok to use a few flowers on my page when the boys are as little as this one ;-)

For  my chevrons I used a paterned paper that has diagonal stripes. To make the chevrons I cut the paper into four squares and then divided the smaller squares diagonally. By turning the papers I was left with chevrons in these great colours. Such an easy trick!!
I'll remember to take a picture next time!

The flowers and the yellow chipboard title are by Papirdesign.
The 'naked' chevrons/arrows were cut from a chipboard-backing I had saved and I just
love the texture they add.

The title 'Charmtroll' means something like 'Charmer' and the stickers are made by Papirdesign.
These are so great because they have all the special letters that we have in our Nordic languages that we miss using the imported alphabets. They come in a wide variety of colours as well!

Ok, so I hope you enjoyed my more masculine page and that you will consider taking part in our October challenge at Papirdesign.

You can see the beautiful projects created by my DT friends HERE.
Finally I would like to share the good news that my recent page was well received at
Life. Paper. Scrapbook.

Hugs!!

A closer look at my GD page for Scrap Around the World.(And some bragging :-) )

This is the page I made recently as a guest designer for
Inkido was a previous sponsor and we were delighted when Helen asked us to interpret the September mood board. This is such a fun challenge!
I promised I would post some close ups of my page today so here goes .-)

And here is a picture of the mood board and sketch for Gayle's challenge.
Isn't it just gorgeous?!!

I started out taking inspiration from the stripes (background sheet), the words 'flying' out from the head (my butterflies), the large title (also a quote) and the black and white photo of a person.
I also did a loose interpretation of the available sketch, picking just a few  of the elements.

I fussy cut a lot of tiny flowers from one of the sheets in the 'Beautiful Memories' collection.
I believe the flowers are are poppies.

I picked Inkido's  small butterfly stamp  and combined it with some other butterflies that I cut out. They were all embellished with some bling and pearl stones. Inkido do these in several colours and they are so great to add to all kinds of projects.

I find the internet is such a great source when you are searching for various inspiration, and for
this challenge I decided I needed a good quote. This was just one of several quotes that I found.

After cutting out the words with my Silhouette Cameo I backed them with pink paper, except for the words black and white that I wanted to stand out against the background.
As you can see from this close up I also added some freestyle sewing with my machine. I find it adds a lot of interest without being intrusive or  taking anything away from the design.

Talking of design,.... I was very pleased to finf out this page was a winner in the latest challenge over at Scrap & Music. I have hardly taken part in any challenges lately but that is something I would like to change ,.)

Thanks for checking out my page today. :-)
There is still a lot of time to take part in the challenge at SATW, or why not Sabrinas September challenge at Inkido to use layers and borders?

Hugs!
